Get away from the hustle and bustle at this sweet cabin hideaway located in the peaceful countryside on the farm estate of The Homestead on Peanut Road - a beautiful pond on the property and lots of wooded land to explore. Few neighbors and an open sky create a perfect environment for star-gazing on clear evenings. Perfect for a *Special celebration? Ask about our event concierge service: decor, food, flowers, etc. The space Have you ever wanted to spend the night in a pigpen? Well, maybe not but, here is your chance to experience the peace and quiet of the country in a repurposed building that was once a pigpen/chicken house. We have renamed it “The Boars Den”. It is very cozy and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing time away from the noise. We are a Christian family who seeks to honor the Lord with the resources He has blessed us with. This hideaway is located on property that has been in our family since the Civil War. We are happy to be able to share it with you. You won’t find another place like this one. Much of the interior is finished with old lumber that was found on our property, power-washed and sanded. There is a cozy living space with a kitchen, which includes a stove with oven, microwave and mini fridge (does not have a freezer) and a little bathroom that has a charming tub & waterfall shower. The bedroom is on the second floor and has two beds - a double and a queen. Access to the cabin has three steps to enter. There is a back porch with rocking chairs and a small fire pit for relaxing and enjoying the fresh country air. Some of our land is being farmed and there are other unique Airbnbs on the property as well. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire cabin, as well as a porch on the back which overlooks the barnyard, surrounding fields and woodland. There are two levels in this cabin. The first floor contains the kitchen, dining, living area and bathroom, while the second level has the bedroom. This is country living at its finest. Other things to note NOTE: Ceilings are low, so a personal maximum height of 5’11” is recommended for most comfortable accommodation. The stairs to the upper level are narrow and steep. A child safety gate is available for the stairs if needed. It is located in the closet. The cabin has a watering trough bath tub with steep sides so stepping into the tub could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. There is a rain shower head for those who prefer a shower. During the summer months, you may encounter bugs and bees. We make every effort to keep them at a minimum. During the winter months, you may want to bring slippers since the downstairs floor may be cold.
