The Cowhouse

Situated close to the beginning of the Wild Atlantic Way and just 10 minutes drive from Kinsale, this is a beautiful converted stone barn of around 250m2, sitting on 4+ acres of wild meadow with amazing views extending to ocean . The space We renovated this almost completely ruined stone barn over about 10 years, with the intention that it would be a family gathering place - so lots of open common spaces, with medium-sized but comfortable bedrooms. There's extensive use of polished concrete, steel, and both new and reclaimed timber. It's all built to a high standard, and fitted with top-of-the-line appliances from Bosch, Wolf and Sub-Zero Guest access Guests may use all spaces with one partial exception: the edge of the mezzanine space above the fireplace is not fully protected, so is a fall hazard for kids or unsteady adults - so this is ideally off limits and certainly at guest's own risk (but there's nothing of practical use up there anyway - just the owner's 'man-cave'). Other things to note There's a small number of houses adjacent to ours, but we're off the beaten track here: it's super quiet, very private - but only 5 minutes drive from Ballinspittle, home to a decent supermarket, deli and restaurant. The neighbours are all very welcoming.
