The space The South Wing occupies a private section of Shore Hall, our much-loved family home dating back to the 16th century. Rich in history yet wonderfully comfortable, it's designed for gathering, celebrating and slowing down together. The accommodation includes five individually designed bedrooms with luxury bed linen and towels, a spacious chef's kitchen, a formal dining room seating ten, and an elegant drawing room centred around a large wood-burning fireplace. Large windows frame views across the gardens and lawns, creating beautiful spaces to relax throughout the seasons. Outside, guests are free to explore 22 acres of formal gardens, orchards, woodland paths and wildflower meadows. During the warmer months, enjoy the heated outdoor swimming pool or a game of tennis before returning to the terrace for dinner. Although wonderfully peaceful, Shore Hall is only minutes from Finchingfield, often described as England's most photographed village, 25 minutes from Saffron Walden, around 45 minutes from Cambridge, and just over an hour from London by train. Fast gigabit fibre broadband is available throughout the property, making it equally suited to family holidays, celebrations and longer countryside stays. Guest access Guests enjoy exclusive use of the South Wing, including five bedrooms, the chef's kitchen, dining room, drawing room and private outdoor terrace. You'll also have shared access to: • Heated outdoor swimming pool (approximately May–September, weather permitting) • Tennis court • Barbecue area • Formal gardens • Orchards • Woodland walks • Wildflower meadows The South Wing sits within our 22-acre estate, which we call home. During your stay you may see our horses, dogs, wildlife, members of our family, our estate team, or guests staying in our other holiday accommodation. To ensure each residence enjoys peaceful use of the shared facilities, we allocate private two-hour sessions for the swimming pool, tennis court and barbecue area. We recommend reserving your preferred times at least 24 hours before arrival. Parking is available beside the house, and EV charging is available (£56 per day). Other things to note Shore Hall is a peaceful family home and country estate, so we do not permit parties or events. For the comfort and safety of all guests, only those included on your Airbnb booking may stay, and we'll ask for the names of all guests before arrival. Families are welcome to book our optional horsemanship experience, where children spend two hours with our experienced equestrian team learning how to groom, feed and care for our friendly horses and ponies while enjoying an authentic hands-on experience of life on the estate.
