Ziethen is located very close to the bike path between Anklam and the island of Usedom. Our house—the former “count’s” horse stable, built in 1887—features two beautiful vacation apartments and a twin room with a separate bathroom. The twin room, “Radlerzimmer,” is located on the first floor; it is tastefully furnished and is particularly well-suited for cyclists passing through on their way to or from the Baltic Sea. The smaller apartment, “Kastanienblick,” on the first floor is ideal for short stays, as well as for cycling tourists heading to the island of Usedom. Ziethen is directly connected to the Berlin-Usedom long-distance bike trail. The larger apartment, “Parkblick,” is on the first floor, though there are a few steps to navigate due to the garden being lower down. This apartment is well-equipped for longer stays. Both vacation apartments can also be booked together; the large family table in the lower apartment seats up to 8 people. The approximately 1,000 m² garden borders directly on the park and the old manor house and is also available for our guests to use. Our family has owned the property and building since 1990, and we have modernized and expanded it repeatedly. My name is Manfred Friedrich; my wife and I love nature, music, and cycling. The Peenetal Nature Reserve, stretching from Jarmen to Anklam, is a 3,414-hectare nature reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania that was designated on May 20, 2010. It encompasses parts of the Peenetal valley featuring peat pits, river valley bogs, swamp forests, and meadows. The Peenetal is considered the largest contiguous lowland bog area in Central Europe.
