Perched over the kitchen the loft sports a full-sized bed. USB outlets are available for all your charging needs. The clear roof provides stargazing from the comfort of the bed. The living room has a double adult-sized cot/bunkbed that transforms into a couch. Chill on the couch and stream a movie from the mini-projector and warm up by the wood stove. The living room has ample USB charging, lights, and the solar controller is built into a working retro gaming cabinet. It's truly a cozy space to recharge after a long day at the beach. The kitchen has a gas cooktop, sink, propane heater, drinking water cooler, small fridge, and dinner table. The screened windows and clear storm shutters keep nature at your fingertips in any weather. Work remotely? I got you with wifi and 110v outlets near the kitchen table. Go ahead and make your co-workers jealous with a beautiful Zoom background. Outside the cabin, you will find a shower and composting toilet built from locally sawn pine. A hand-dug well and solar pump feeds the gravity tank providing water for the shower. A propane on-demand water heater will provide a hot enough shower to cancel out those cold mornings. Next to the cabin is a fire pit tucked in the woods for secluded smores or burnt weiners. Or scamper out in the field and use the larger fire pit under the stars. sleeps 4-5 comfortably, additional guests my need to pitch a tent. (tents available on request) Not recommended for people with mobility issues. Please note: this is a farm stay in a rustic, off-grid, open air, camping shelter on the edge of an untamed forest. There are Plastic storm shutters to cover the screens in winter. While comfortable, this is basically camping and will present some challenges at times. The refrigerator is a high effeciency powered cooler and has the capacity of a minifridge. An additional beverage cooler is recomended for larger/thirsty groups (loaner available). The forest contains everything that likes to live in forests. It is very likely that a frog or spider will be hanging with you in the bathhouse. Guest access There are 3 sites on the property, Stargazer is located on the back side of the property furthest from the road. The trilogy and Wisteria camp sites are towards the front side of the porperty. Feel free to wander the feild in front of the cabin or the dense pine forest behind it. Other things to note Power is solar with battery back-up and designed to run everything in the cabin. Being wasteful of power can leave you in the dark. Please ask about running your home applianced off the 110v inverter. The inverter is a power hog and will drain the batteries quite quickly. Guests who are mindful that power is not infinite will have ample power 24/7. Haven Beach is 1 mile away, Aaron's beach is 1 mile awaygiven the chance. . Gwen Island is 15 miles away. Explore the Mathews Blueway water trail by kayak. there is a local company that Rents kayaks, delivered to you. There are free to use bicycles, an axe throwing board, and cornhole boards. These items are shared and "first come first served" All guests are welcome to come meet/feed the Guineas and chickens. I'm more than happy to tell you some interesting facts and see if any bird will tolerate being held.
