Private apartment & floor, 200 yds from UD center

1 block to UD center, 0.5 mi to the bustling City of Newark center and to Amtrak. 1 King, 2 Queen, 1 Twin. You’ll love the location and privacy. Good for couples, adventurers, business travelers, and UD families. Friendly hosts, but you'll have the whole floor to yourself and won't see us! Separate entrance to a finished lower level suite w/ King bedroom, wet bar & fridge, and additional common area beds if more than 2 people. Use the back yard and patio, too! The space The private 1200 square foot 1-bedroom suite with full bath and wet bar is the finished lower level of our modern home. You get your own parking spots in our driveway, and your own entrance from our fenced-in backyard. Although it is mostly below-grade and does not have a full sized window in the bedroom, there is a lot of natural daylight throughout the floor from the living room just outside the bedroom, and it is fully air conditioned/heated and humidity controlled. The private full bathroom has clean towels, toiletries, and everything you should need. If you forgot something, let us know and we probably have a new one for you. Outside, you are welcome to freely use our patio and backyard. There is tabled seating for 6 and a shade umbrella. There is a wet bar and fridge, and you're welcome to prepare cold food. But there are NO COOKING FACILITIES, kitchen access, and no cooking is allowed. We do not allow hot plates, toaster ovens, or other cooking in order to prevent odors and spills/splatters, as the space is not finished or vented for cooking. Complimentary Nespresso coffee service includes plant milk and a hot water kettle with teas. There is a dining table that seats six people. Most of our guests make use of the 50 restaurants and cafes, most of which are 4 or 5 blocks away (0.6 mile). Some of these are open as early as 6:30am, and some are open until 2am. They all offer take-out and most offer delivery. Bicycles available for rent (ask at least a day in advance). We live on the two floors above the apartment, so you will hear the normal sounds of a family with dogs (including the occasional bark!) through the ceiling just like you would in some apartments, but overall it's pretty quiet. Our dogs do not go into the AirBnB floor, but you might encounter them outside in the yard if you happen to come home when we are in the yard with them. They are harmless, but overly excited barkers until they get to meet you. Guest access The entire floor is exclusively yours. You also may freely access the backyard and patio. The floor includes a well maintained 8' slate pool table, dart board, foosball table soccer, and a media area with a 70" LED TV with Roku/Netflix/SlingTV/Hulu/Amazon, and reclining theater seating for five people. Because you have your own separate entrance and because of our dogs and kids, guests may not enter the main floor. If you need to do laundry, there's a coin-operated laundromat at the west end of our street in the Park-N-Shop center (0.5 miles away). Other things to note Note for tall people... the ceilings are 7', and in some places there are soffits that drop down to 6'2" between the rooms. So if you're over 6'1", there are a few points where you'll have to duck!
