Located in the Antigua Zona Americana, Las Ruedas (a private gated community) was once a part of the United Fruit Company which began building here during the 1950s. It is now owned by the local Diaz family who live in Casa 1. Casa 3 has recently been renovated for families to enjoy a quiet and peaceful getaway in the south region. This is the untouched and most lush part of Costa Rica. Come enjoy some peaceful Pura Vida at Las Ruedas! The space The pristine property offers more than 14 acres of open space with beautiful background mountains and trees for leisure, sports and other outdoor activities. There are many species of birds to watch including the once nearly extinct Macaw. The amazing prehistoric Iguanas are also prevalent. Guests will also have access to the wide variety of exotic fruits and flowers that are in season. During your stay We are conveniently located near Palmar Norte for groceries and other necessities as well the Puerto Cortez Hospital just a 10-minute drive away. For those traveling by air, the Palmar Sur Aerodrome with new asphalt runway and lights is just a walk away and only a 45-minute flight to the SJO International Airport. We have excellent Wifi and can provide consultation for any local travel, adventure, and dining.
