The space Welcome to Fitzroy Olive Cottage. As you arrive you will enter the cottage via a well-lit pathway through a garden filled with 3 healthy olive trees - which gives the cottage its name. When you enter through the front door via the original, and now enclosed front verandah, you will be met with a room which includes comfortable cane chairs, side tables, a lamp and lush plants. This space is perfect for you to enjoy a peaceful moment - relaxing, reading or having a drink. The verandah leads into the spacious, tranquil lounge complete with the original fireplace and mantel. The cypress pine floor boards, high ceilings and ornate cornicing add to the charm of this room. A 60 inch Samsung smart TV allows viewing of multiple streaming services and the corner bookshelf contains games for both adults and children, providing hours of entertainment. A Netflix subscription is provided for your enjoyment. This room has a split system air conditioner to keep the room warm & cosy in winter and cool and comfortable in the summer months. The main bedroom has a queen size Ecosa bed, an award winning Emma comfort mattress, a choice of 3 pillow styles and luxurious Adairs bamboo linen sheets and woollen throws. Adairs Mark Tuckey bed side tables complete the look. The bedroom has a large 3 door built in wardrobe (one mirrored) with multiple hanging spaces and drawers. Coat hangers are provided. This room benefits from ducted cooling for the summertime. The second bedroom has a double size Ecosa bed, an award winning Emma comfort mattress, a choice of 3 pillow styles and luxurious Adairs bamboo linen sheets and throws. Adairs Mark Tuckey bed side tables complete the look. The bedroom has a hanging rack with hanging spaces and shelves. Coat hangers are provided. A full length mirror is located in the home office space. This room benefits from ducted cooling for the summertime. Located off the 2nd bedroom is a dedicated home office space. This enclosed room was originally part of the front verandah. It features beautiful painted stencilling on the floor, a desk, a chair, fast wifi, an A4 colour printer and all items needed to work effectively from home. The spacious kitchen includes neutral cabinetry including a pantry cupboard, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas cooktop and stove. The kitchen is large and light filled due to its north easterly aspect and it ensures it is flooded with natural sunlight in the mornings. It is the perfect place to start the day at the generous sized dining table with 4 chairs. The kitchen has ducted cooling for the summertime. The kitchen has been fitted out with all new appliances and accessories including a Nespresso coffee machine, Delonghi toaster & kettle, Panasonic microwave, sandwich press, air fryer, quality dinnerware, cutlery & glassware, cooking utensils and all cooking basics including a 12 jar spice rack, olive oil, salt & pepper, 3 types of salad vinegar & sauce sachets. In the corner of the kitchen is the coffee / tea bar. A variety of different teas and coffee capsules - including decaf - are provided along with hot chocolate, milo & sugar for all your hot drink needs. The bathroom is spacious and light filled due to a skylight. The walk-in shower includes double shower heads and complimentary paraben free Sukin toiletries, the spa bath has a variety of complimentary bath salts and a bath rack ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine. Superior quality Adairs cotton towels from the Turkish Cotton and Textured Cotton ranges are provided for your comfort. Also included for guests is a mirrored shaving cabinet and a vanity which is stocked with a hair dryer, hair straighteners and complimentary face wipes. The laundry area contains a washing machine, dryer, ironing board, iron, clothes rack and complimentary washing powder & softener, allowing you the flexibility to wash and dry clothes whilst away from home. Please ensure that all mess is picked up and disposed of in the outside bins. Doggy poop bags are provided in the laundry. Additional fees will be charged for any damage caused to furniture or for any additional cleaning that is required. There will be an extra charge for more than one pet per stay. We have provided the following to help ensure your stay with us is comfortable: 1. Portable Travel Cot - This item needs to be requested as it is stored in the shed on the property. All linen will need to be provided by you. 2. High Chair - This item is also stored in the shed and so will need to be requested so that we can move it into the cottage for your stay. 3. Children's melamine cups, plates & bowls Guest access Self Check-in. Codes will be provided the morning of check in. These codes are time sensitive and will not operate until the specified check-in time. Guests will have private access to the entire property for the duration of their stay. Your stay includes free gated, undercover, off-street parking. Additional parking is available on the driveway and on the street in front of the property. Please be aware that the driveway on the left belows to the owner of the property behind the Cottage and is not available for parking. Other things to note House Rules: No parties. No loud music or behaviour that is disrespectful of our neighbours. No smoking or vaping inside the cottage. Any additional mess will be charged for.
