Watch the sunrise from the cantilevered 2nd floor deck, sit by the campfire on your private lawn oceanside, or walk down to the dock for a paddle in the west facing protected cove. The best of coastal Maine! The space We just finished building this stunning cottage and boathouse on land that has been in Ryan's family for over 50 years. It's a beautiful spot: bold ocean views east and west, with a protected cove for kayaking and exploring. We kept a clean Scandinavian design while looking out for all the essentials. We embrace the Scandinavian preference for 'less is more' but always maximize 'hygge' or cosiness. The design is unique in many ways, and offers plenty of social areas both inside and out. The main house includes two queen bedrooms, a full bathroom and a top floor with kitchen, living room and dining room. The Boathouse has another queen bed, full bathroom and an inviting living space. Guest access Full and private access to the whole cottage, the boathouse with the third bedroom, private grassy yards and beach front on east and west sides of peninsula, and shared access to the dock and float (shared with the occasional member of Ryan's family heading out to their island).
