Description

Disconnect to reconnect in our traditional romantic log cabin nestled in the woods on the shore of Opheim Lake. It is offgrid with no electricity or cell service, sky light windows providing natural light and a wood stove for heating. In the wilderness yet minutes from the highway, outdoor cooking on the wood fired grille, sunset and star watching await. Wildlife is abundant, and you can explore the 4 lakes chain. As a special offer, a stay of 4 nights earns the 5th night free of charge! The space Experience a true adventure in our beautiful Canadian log cabin! The cabin is situated in the woods surrounding our small-scale family farm, within a short walk to our home. Guests can explore the Paddler's dream chain of lakes. The single room cabin is a cosy space with a queen bed, log fire and basic kitchen area. There's a nice outhouse with a composting toilet within meters. There are hand washing stands both inside and outside the cabin and we'll provide you with fresh drinking water. Shower & toilet facilities are available in the main house. Guests are welcome to rent a canoe, kayaks or stand up paddle boards during their stay, we have all the equipment you need for an afternoon paddle or longer trip down the 4 lakes chain. Our cabin is really special to us. We love to share with with people and ask that guests are respectful and considerate when staying here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Please note we cater to wildlife viewing opportunities and not hunting. The cabin is ideally suited for couples, however we may be able to cater to families with one to two children upon request. We can accommodate well-behaved pets, please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a pet. We ask that dogs are well trained and socialized with other dogs (we have a friendly German Shephard called Amina) and that guests are aware that no pets are allowed on the furniture. Please be aware that there's no cell service on the area so make sure you make note or take screenshots of directions before setting off! Guest access Cabin, outdoor fire pit, composting toilet, lake side chairs and dock. Shower & toilet facilities are available in the main house if preferred. Internet is available at the main house if needed. Other things to note ----PLEASE NOTE---- - There is no cell service in the area, please make sure you have all the directions you need (below) before making your way to us - Please get in touch with questions regarding dietary requirements and accessibility - We have a friendly dog and cat. Neither have access to the B&B guest room ---- DIRECTIONS ---- - Please be sure to print or take notes of these directions because there is no cell service in the area. Driving Northbound on HWY 97 Driving on HWY 97 headed North: At 150 Mile House which is only 14 km (9 miles) south of Williams Lake, turn east on the Horsefly-Likely Road. Turn left if coming from Williams Lake or right if coming from 100 Mile House on to the Horsefly-Likely Road. After 5 km you come to a Y, be careful to take the left fork which goes to Big Lake and Likely. Approximately 10 minutes past the Big Lake Store, you will cross Beaver Valley. Turn left on Jacobson Road on the east side of Beaver Valley. Drive 3.7 km to #5505 on your left. Driving Southbound on HWY 97 At McLeese Lake, 45 miles (70 km) south of Quesnel, take the road left toward Gibraltar Mines. After a few miles, go right on the Mcleese Lake Beaver Lake Road for 25 miles (gravel Rd). When you get to a paved road go left approx 1 mile to Jacobson Rd on your left. We are #5505, 3.7 km down Jacobson Rd on the left. Registration Details Provincial registration number: Exempt
