Ravens Roost Dry Cabin- A Denali Retreat

The Raven's Roost is a piece of authentic Alaskan elegance surrounded by forests and mountain views. Located 8 miles south of Denali National Park and within walking distance to a number of other attractions. Your host is a local who loves sharing Denali with our summer guests! The space Welcome to Denali! The Raven's Roost has been recently renovated into a cozy guest cabin on our property with 450 sqft of indoor living space. Situated on 5-acres of privately owned property, our dry cabin is a blend of casual comforts and an authentic Alaskan experience. Our cabin also comes with a fully stocked kitchen- refrigerator, oven, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, glassware, etc. This allows guests to dine or meal prep during their Alaskan adventures. By Alaskan standards our cabin is dry- meaning there is not a shower or indoor plumbing. There is a sink with potable running water that is sourced from a 20 gallon tank for guests to use for washing, cooking, or drinking. More water can be provided upon request. The cabin is also equipped with an immaculately kept outhouse that is steps from the front door and includes a heated seat for cooler fall or winter days. While there is no shower on site, there are several options locally, please reach out if you have questions about what it means to stay in a dry cabin. While this style of accommodation is not for everyone, it's still a very common way of living in Alaska, and can be a fun way to connect with our landscape. Guest access The cabin is located on a 1.5-mile private residential loop. The whole cabin is yours to use during your stay. Feel free to utilize the outdoor seating area, take in the views, and enjoy your time under the midnight sun. Please be cognizant that our neighborhood is home to many small children and pets. We ask that all guests adhere to a strict 10 mph speed limit while driving to or from the cabin during their stay. -Thank you! Other things to note Please treat our cabin as though it were your own. While we are sharing it with you please treat it with respect. Guests have access to one parking space just steps away from the cabin's entrance and deck. The cabin comes with a full kitchen, living room, and a cozy dining area. Please note that our cabin is considered 'dry' with no running water and no indoor toilet or shower. There are several showers available in our area- please ask if you have questions. Our outhouse is comfortable and clean- located adjacent to the cabin. Purified and potable water is provided for hand washing, cooking, and drinking. During the winter used 'gray water' is collected under the sink and must be emptied by guests. Upon your arrival, we will have your cabin stocked with a few breakfast basics for your convenience. Specific items will vary but often include a selection of hot and cold cereal, almond milk, butter, or some freshly baked goodies! The cabin has an open floor plan. The bedroom suite is accessed through a small hallway and includes a queen-sized bed. Price includes three adults. A twin-sized air mattress with bedding is available to accommodate parties of three. Our cabin is not able to accommodate more than three guests.
