The Dairy: light and relaxing
The Dairy: light and relaxing
Description
In the grounds of an ancient Sussex farmstead next to the Norman Church, the Dairy is a light one-storey conversion of the farm’s dairy to give a perfect setting for a holiday of any length for two to relax in comfort and explore the pleasures of Sussex. This idyllic farmstead lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, between Rye and Hastings, two miles to the sea, on the 1066 Country Walk and amidst wonderful countryside. The space A light one-storey conversion of the farm’s dairy with a seaside theme, to give a welcoming double bedroom, bathroom with bath washing machine and shower, and large airy open plan living room. This has views from both sides, an upright piano, kitchen area, sofa, chairs and dining table and library. There is a day bed for occasional visitors by arrangement. Painted dresser, wooden floors and tongue and groove walls with a theme of blue and cream create a charming country feel, and the views are of church and countryside. The southwest facing garden has grass and decking with garden table and chairs for 4, and a further grassed seating area. The Dairy and its garden have sun at all times of the day. Guest access The Dairy is surrounded by space. There are two other holiday cottages and our house in the 2.5 acres. We hope everyone respects others' privacy, but apart from that you are welcome to use the grounds. There is a small gate into the surrounding fields which allows easy access to the ancient woodland and marvellous walks over the fields. Other things to note We would ask that guests do not ask friends around and do not have parties. No fireworks: we have dogs and a thatched house.... No smoking inside but you are welcome to smoke outside. Please read all the information. Please inform us 48 hours before check-in to let us know of late arrival: we may have made arrangements to go out so this is helpful for us. You must check-out by 10:00 so that we can make the accommodation available for the next guests.
