Rio de Estrelas Camping is located on the Cerrito/Sanga Seca Line in Maquiné, 150 km from Porto Alegre, and is perfect for backpackers and travelers looking for simple but cozy accommodation. We are located in one of the most peaceful spots in the region, close to Serra do Umbu, with the Maquiné River passing in front of the property, providing our guests with an experience of tranquility, peace and great contact with nature. @riodeestrelascamping /riodeestrelas The space We have free parking, a shared kitchen with all utensils (open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.), two mixed bathrooms with cold showers, a bathroom with hot water and barbecue grills. The Maquiné River passes in front of the campsite, and the outdoor area near the river has a large lawn with shade for camping. We also have a camping area on the hillside, in the middle of the woods and another by the river. The place where the campsite is located is a region close to Serra do Umbu and because we are in a mountain region, away from the city lights, we have a much better view of the stars, making it possible to see most of the constellations and even the Milky Way. We are 7 km from the Barra do Ouro district, following the RS-484, on the Cerrito/Sanga Seca Line. After passing the church (on the right), enter the next street on the right, there is a sign with directions to the campsite. The road is dirt and the view is very beautiful, but we advise caution when driving, as it can raise a lot of dust, have animals on the track and sometimes there may be more or less holes, depending on the weather and the day. By bus: There is a line from the company Unesul, which leaves from Monday to Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from the Porto Alegre bus station towards Barra do Ouro, stopping only at the Osório and Maquiné bus stations, arriving at the final destination at 4:20 p.m. In the opposite direction, the departure from Barra do Ouro to Porto Alegre is at 7 a.m., from Monday to Saturday, arriving at the bus station before 10 a.m. (We offer transfers, check availability in advance) Other things to note More information and tips: The 3G/4G cell phone signal is only from VIVO and at certain points. Get ready to disconnect. Some trails near the campsite require a local guide (see availability). We advise our guests and visitors to bring: a flashlight to move around at night; warm clothing, and for the most sensitive to the cold, a warmer blanket, because at night the temperature can drop a lot; comfortable and resistant shoes for walking in the woods; repellent and sunscreen. Some establishments in Barra do Ouro accept cards, but to withdraw money only in Maquiné, where there is only a Banrisul ATM and a lottery (from Mon to Fri); we advise you to withdraw before coming.
