Casa Marelie is a unique home with stunning ocean views overlooking the bay of Carrillo. The house is located on a quiet road right in the village of Carrillo, just a few minutes’ walk to restaurants and 750m from the beach. The house was designed and built by a Swedish architect and was known as Casa Sevana until 2018. The house is very spacious and offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has twin beds, and the third is furnished with a bunkbed. There is also an inflatable bed available for extra guests. The bedrooms all have air conditioning, the downstairs bedrooms have large closets and sliding doors leading to the pool and terrace areas. This special home is tastefully furnished and decorated. On the second floor you will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with beautiful wooden cabinets opening to the living room area. The house boasts teak cathedral ceilings throughout. Facing the ocean, a large terrace with ocean and sunset views will entice you to sit and relax while gazing at the ocean or watching the numerous birds and animals roaming the area. A soft ocean breeze is always flowing throughout the house. For entertainment, there is a TV with digital cable, DVD player and bluetooth speakers. If you have to work, the home offers high speed internet that allows for videoconferencing (100/10 Mbit). Enjoy the the beautifully landscaped garden and amenities like a separate BBQ gazebo. Bathe in the sparkling 25ft long pool that is totally private. This tropical paradise is truly a gem! All parts of the house are accessible to guests with the exception of a storage room. We are using the house as a vacation home for our family - if we're not there we rent it out. But our great property managers Leonardo and Melissa are in nearby Samara and always ready to help if anything comes up. The village of Puerto Carrillo has some nice restaurants (among them a great Argentinian steakhouse) that you can reach on foot. Playa Samara is a few minutes by car - there you'll find lots of nice cafés and restaurants right on the beach. We recommend renting a car to get from Liberia Airport (2 hrs) or San Jose (4 hrs) to our house. The location is very accessible (which is not the norm in Costa Rica): Except for the last 100 meters to our house, you can actually drive the whole way on paved roads! :-) There are two parking spaces on the premises. If you prefer someone else to do the driving you can also book a private or shared shuttle with Interbus or take a public bus from San Jose to Samara. From there, take a local bus to Carrillo - the bus stops at the main street very close to our house. We do a contactless check in. Contact details for our property managers will be provided after booking. There is an exterior security camera that covers only the entrance of the property. For privacy reasons, recordings will be automatically deleted after 48 hours.
