Aitawa Ecohostel

Ecohostel. Located in the savanna territories of San Martín, Meta (Colombia), within a farm/natural reserve that offers a variety of entertaining ecotouristic activities. Indicated price is for the full cabin reservation. Price per person is 180 thousand pesos. This price includes all 3 meals, 2 snacks, and all intern activities (see services and common areas for guests). Availability of the natural pook depends on the climate conditions; during summer (december-february) it might dry. The space The cabins are part of an ecotourism project called Aitawa, which consists in an ecohostel of four cabins with capacity for 3 people each. The hostel offers a wide variety of internal and external (outside of the farm) activities that are held around the concept of contemplating nature and proffiting off the amazing weather and landscape conditions of the region. The ecological concept of the hostel extends to the minimal and necessary use of electricity, that in this case is only used for food refrigeration (gas powered) and charging station for electronics (solar powered). The decoration and furnitute are of tropical and ecological style, priorizing always the commodity of the guest. Guest access Natural pool (depends on climate conditions, may be dry during the summer which is between December and February), lakes, horse backriding, beach volleyball court, nature sighting, hiking, local farming activities, social kiosque. Basic stay fee includes all the above mentioned activities plus 3 meals and 2 snacks. Other things to note Keep in mind that electricity is only available for the charging station and the functioning of certain devices like lamps and kitchen blender. Ilumination is provded through candles, torches, solar powered lamps, and flash-lights. Guests and visitors tend to use cars to charge up their electronic devices through USB ports, although now a days we count with a solar panel exclusively for a chargin station. Cellular signal is usually low, however, some operators tend to work relatevely good. The natural pook depends on the flow of the river that feeds it, which could dry up during the summer after many days without rain. Nonetheless we count with beautiful refreshing lakes to make up for the pool when it is dry.
