Things to enjoy BEACH (5 min driving, 20 biking) Silky white sands front placid clear turquoise clear waters, a heavenly spot for sunning, snorkeling and kite surfing. TULUM RUINS (10 min driving, 20 min biking) Tulum holds the honor of being the most picturesque archaeological site in the Riviera Maya and the only one to have been built overlooking the ocean. The most iconic of its structures, the Castillo, is perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the clear turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean. The cliff-top Castillo, with its beachfront location and lush green landscape, is the image most often associated with the Mayan Riviera. COBA RUINS (30 min driving) Coba archaeological site is home of the highest pyramid in Mexico's Maya world. At more than 130 feet in height, Nohuch Mul, which means “large mound” in the Mayan language, is the tallest pyramid in the peninsula de Yucatan. While you can no longer climb the heights of Nohuch Mul, Coba is still a journey worth taking. CENOTES (15-25 minutes driving) Cenotes are freshwater sinkholes created by a vast underground river system. They are some of the most unique geological features in Mexico and there are thousands of them located throughout the Riviera Maya. The ancient Maya believed that these sites were sacred. Fossilized coral and limestone form the surface of the cenotes. Natural sunlight filters into the sinkholes and reflects off the clear turquoise water and natural mineral formations giving the cenotes a magical, otherworldly feel, a perfect spot for snorkeling or scuba diving. OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES Some of my personal favorites are swimming with the Turtles in Akumal and kayaking through the mangroves in Sian Ka'an Biosphere. If biking is your thing, Tulum is a heaven for bikes (rentals are available). Massage and Yoga classes are a must here in Tulum and if you have an urge to detox and work on your self- realization there are numerous beautiful areas in which to get guidance, like a Temezcal (a curative ceremony used as a cleansing of mind, body and spirit). Guest access During your stay you will have exclusive access to the apartment and private terrace. Other things to note *PLEASE NOTE: The lively neighborhood in which the property is located is what makes our location so attractive to travelers. We are very close to the most vibrant and lively street in Tulum. Because of our proximity to bars and restaurants, during the night, you may hear music and noise in the distance, which is always a good excuse to enjoy Tulum's fun nightlife! **Please be advised that, until further notice, your stay may be affected by construction noise (daytime only). Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. Tropical insects are endemic to our area. We have regular preventative pest control, but it's possible that insects might sneak inside. Please help us keep them out by keeping windows & doors closed and store food appropriately. During your stay, you will be provided with free of charge: Wi-Fi, parking, bed linen, some essential toiletries and bath towels. And if you wish to explore the town by bike, we can also help you rent one. There will be some essential toiletries for you to use as soon as you arrive: toilet paper, hand and body soap, shampoo, dish detergent and garbage bags. However, these items are not replenished: if you run out and need more, you will have to go to a store to buy what you need. During the day, the apartment 's air conditioners are programmed to turn on and off at the following times: 02:00 AM: OFF 11:00 AM: OFF 5:00 PM: OFF There is no daily maid service. If you require maid service during your stay, we can arrange this for an additional charge of $30 USD. *Note: In order to ensure the safety of guests, the property has security cameras at the main entrance. Occasionally, extreme weather conditions and other unexpected external situations may affect the Internet service and electricity, causing it to work intermittently or fail completely. Please be aware that situations such as these are completely beyond our control. HOUSE RULES - Guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. - Smoking is not allowed in the complex. Smoking tobacco, cannabis or recreational drug use is strictly prohibited in the house. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a fine of 300 USD. - Any illegal activity is prohibited. Parties, events and excessive noise are not permitted. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of your neighbors. - No guests other than those listed on your reservation are allowed. - No tents or other structures may be set up on the property grounds. - Guests agree to cover any charges related to damages incurred during the stay, as well as to cover any additional cleaning charges that may be necessary after the stay. - Guests may be asked for official identification at the time of booking, on the day of check-in or during the stay. - Please avoid moving furniture.
