Black Mountain/Montreat is home, and I'm available to share recommendations or troubleshoot a problem. Black Mountain has it's own vibe, sort of a combination of Asheville with more traditional small town elements. South Ridgeway Ave is three blocks from the heart of town, so the entire stay can be enjoyed on foot. The town of Black Mountain is a product of the Blue Ridge....thrust onto the national stage alongside of Asheville during the early (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s, when a 16 hr round trip ticket from the Black Mountain Depot to Mt. Mitchel was the only option for tourists who wanted to visit the highest peaks east of the Mississippi. Today the allure of these mountains continues as Black Mountain has become one of the most visited Asheville satellites in the region. Parking... If you'd rather drive than walk the few blocks to Cherry St. there is usually plenty of parking on the side streets. At busier times when parking is dense, there are two parking lot areas for this problem. The lot in between the Trailhead Restaurant and the Dripolator Coffee House on W.State St. and the lot in front of the Fire and Police station on E. State St. usually have spaces available. Parking is free throughout Black Mountain.
