Oceanside Home within the City; A Cycle Away!

This summer home is located at the head of Herring Cove; there is 48m of waterfront. Have fun exploring, roaming the rocks or kayaking the Cove of this private shore. We have a kayak for your pleasure. Enjoy the spectacular view from the hot tub or the spacious deck. Herring Cove has much to offer with its hiking, sight seeing, simply sitting at the dock, or visiting our popular Pavia Cafe. It is a 15 minute drive to Downtown. This is a great spot for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. The space A quaint, incredibly clean cottage that is comfortable and well decorated, you can feel the call to the sea inside; this is a beautiful property - a photographer’s mecca. There is a kitchen with full amenities and a BBQ on the deck for your home-away-from-home experience. There is plenty of outdoor furniture so you can relax and enjoy the fresh air, but if you want to stay in, there is WiFI, cable, and a 40” TV. The basement offers a separate TV room for streaming or simply relaxing. The dryer is also located in a separate room in the basement. Just a note that I will have to mow the lawn and tend to the Hot Tub, I will make every effort to do these chores when guests are out. We also have a newly built home and neighbours so we ask that we be “good neighbours” and be respectful of their presence. Guest access Guests can have full access to the house, the basement is unfinished but ideal for storing bikes, kayaks, and gear. The basement also has extra household products, garbage and recycling bins. The basement is not finished and not fancy so please keep expectations low. As of 02/24 the basement is being renovated, so usability is limited. Other things to note We are fortunate to be located on the popular cycling route of the Herring Cove/ Sambro Loop. Avoid the city traffic and start your ride right from the doorstep - the route is quiet with rolling hills. If hiking is your thing we are within 10 minutes to several coastal trails including Duncans Cove, Herring Cove Provincial Park, and Crystal Crescent Beach. Walk or drive to the local Pavia Cafe and Art Gallery, a popular destination for cyclists, hikers and all visitors. Hungry? Walk two minutes from your stay and grab some donair pizza or fish and chips from our local diner Now We're Cooking. If the water is seasonally warm, swimming and snorkelling are available. We even participate in the annual New Years Day Herring Cove Polar Dip. It's a well kept vacation home with a very private large oceanside deck and hot tub. Be active or just relax and watch ships, fishing boats, pleasure boats, the Pilot Boat or watch the sea birds and nature abound.
