Artist Room at the Wandering Peacock

The Wandering Peacock is a lovely property, decorated in an eclectic artistic style. Nestled within the forest foot hills of the Appalachia trails this converted barn is minutes away from downtown Kent and just walking distance from Bulls Bridge, local river, waterfalls and the Appalachian trail. The Wandering Peacock is the perfect New England get away. The space This converted barn has kept its rustic feel, while possessing all the comfort of a modern house. There is wealth of art and novelty items to explore and be entertained with. We encourage our guest to feel at home in the shared spaces. Also take into consideration that the Hot Tub (is seasonal, can not be used after frost.) Please be aware of this before booking in the late fall, early spring and winter The Artistic room is a private room and bathroom for rent. Decorated with stained glass walls, Turkish shower and an Art Nouveau flair this room is truly and experience. The walls are decorated in an array of paintings done by local artist for sale , while the sheets and bathrobe are also hand painted silk works of art. There is even a Victorian book with local trips and information for you to read when you check in. There is also a full size kitchen and dinning room, a dance studio with full mirrors to use as shared space with either other guest or the owners. The owners are artist and world travelers. Greg from France and Abigail a local resident. They are often there to check in guest and live in the downstairs section of the Barn with their daughter Florence. The grounds are private with gardens and a fire pit area to use. There is an open view of the river and Native American Indian reservation that is breath taking. And Bulls Bridge and the AP trail are walking distance from the property. There are 2 peacocks and chickens in the backyard, they are living in a coop, so you can enjoy the company of this delightful birds. The house is only minutes away from Kent Village, and some of the best nature in new England; Kent Falls, Dover Stone Church and Bulls Bridge. Many farms are selling local products around, you can find fresh eggs, organic veggies and meet, honey, Dairy product and so on, everything localy produce with passion by local farmers. Guest access The House is separated in 2 independent units The back entrance is for guest. The hosts live in the other unit. The other room and possibly down stairs stain-glass nook can be rented out at the same time. Guest have access to the whole house except the other room.
