If you're looking for a great place to camp in Lewiston and have room to spread out and explore, this might be the place. The property features a good trail system so you can drive your vehicle/RV back to your site. There is great privacy; you aren't close to any roads or other campers. There are tons of outdoor activities to do in the area as it features tons of lakes, ORV trails and rivers. The property is about 85 acres and shaped like a T. 5 acres up front for the entrance drive and 80 for the main part. The roads are maintained by Lynn energy and so the largest trucks and RVs can easily have access. There are multiple places to camp but base camp features the latrine pit, fire pit and flag pole. Downtown lewiston isn't far; about three miles. Lewiston has a grocery store a few gas stations and restaurants for convenience.There is also many lakes in the area- good for fishing and swimming. The Twin lakes, wolf lakes, avery lake, mccormick lake, and fletchers pond are a few. The Ausable river is another great spot only about 30 minutes away! Great for fishing or canoeing- there are plenty of canoe rental places along the river. For ORV enthusiasts; plenty of trail networks in the mackinaw state forest including the Buttles road trailhead which is right next to the site, feel free to take advantage of that. This is remote camping. If your afraid of scratching your BMW, this may not be for you.
