Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. While you are in Ojai proper, you feel like you are away from everything. The space This a sweet small private oasis for relaxation and rejuvenation. Main house has bathroom (shower only), ample kitchen, laundry room, bed room (double bed) and living room. There is a lovely firepit in the front yard and an outdoor eating area, star gazing area and hot tub in the back. The back house has a twin bed with AC/Heat. Please note the second house does not have a bathroom and is not connected to the main house. Lots of room outdoors to enjoy the lovely Ojai weather. This is a quiet, tranquil space. No parties, no smoking, no events or drug use allowed. We request a no shoes indoor policy to maintain the cleanliness of the space and the white rugs. Casa de Shangri-La is a cozy, well appointed bungalow and bunkhouse in the the heart of Meiner's Oaks. Perfect for the person(s) who want to get away from it all! Walking distance to the river-bottom trail head, Farmer and the Cook, Papa Lennons and much more! Guest access The Bungalow - Enjoy your private garden with outdoor fire pit. Bungalow comes equipped with a full kitchen, living room, comfy double bed and private bath. You can also book the bunkhouse if you need additional sleeping space. The bunk house has a twin bed and reading space. There are no facilities in the bunk house - so the small bathroom in the main house will be shared. You cannot rent the bunk house by itself. It only can be rented as an add-on to the main house. Please feel free to message me with questions. Bunk house has a separate code for entry that is only provided to guests who have booked and paid for the use of the bunkhouse. Other things to note There are many pets in the neighborhood and we have several at the main house next door. Neighbors have an aviary - mornings are filled with soothing chatter from their birds. No loud squawking - just peaceful background noise. Pets are allowed in this rental so if you are sensitive please keep that in mind. If you are scent sensitive, please let us know in advance and we can make adjustments to make your stay more comfortable. Guests now have access to a washer and dryer for their use and need free of additional charge. Tuesdays are yard and hot tub maintenance days so there will be workman on the property in the mid to late afternoon to service the hot tub and clean up the yard. They will make every effort to not disturb you. If this is bothersome to you - please let me know. Both professional are quick, personable and reliable. The hot tub is clean, hot and amazing to sit out under the Ojai night sky! Please enjoy! Ojai is country and with the bucolic surroundings come raccoons, coyotes and possums. There could even be a mountain lion, although I have never seen one in my neighborhood in the 8 years I have lived here. Just know you are not in a city and you will likely hear or see wildlife while you are in Ojai.
