Panoramic Retreat

“Panoramic Retreat ” is a luxury beach house perfect for unwinding as a couple or with family and friends. Located right off the beach, the house was designed to maximise the breath-taking views on display. Enjoy them from the comfort of the living room or step out onto the deck, soak up the sun, and take in the beach from end to end. Completed in 2021 the house is merely a stones throw from the water, with all your creature comforts and amenities it is the perfect location for relaxation. The space Split into two parts, the house is deceptively spacious. Upstairs, an open-plan living area has room for everyone: consisting of two sitting areas, a dining space, and a modern kitchen with all the extras, before flowing gracefully onto the large deck outside. A cozy mezzanine level above the kitchen provides place for relaxation where you can snuggle into the bean bags for an afternoon siesta or get lost in a good book. Downstairs you will find the bedrooms and bathrooms. Stunning interior throughout combines modern elegance with rustic undertones by incorporating elements of the original 1890's cottage in the design. The bar leaner, floating shelves, and staircase were all hand-crafted from the original rimu framing of the former kiwi bach that used to occupy the site aptly named the "cottage." Other things to note NOTE: We funciton like a classic kiwi bach so bed linens and/or towels are not provided in the base fee. Linens are an extra $15 per bed and $4 per towel. We do this to keep cleaning cost down for families and other who are happy to supply their own linens. You will be asked about your linen choice following confirmation of booking. Tea towels, hand towels, and bath mats are provided. Liquid hand soap, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets and toilet paper are provided. PLEASE NOTE: due to the difficulty of disposing of rural rubbish we do ask that you take your rubbish and recyclable with you. INFO: Gore Bay is a gorgeous secluded location and as a result does not have cellphone coverage. When you arrive at the property you will be able to connect to our wifi to stay in contact with the outside world, just bear in mind Cheviot is the closest location for reliable cellular reception (10 minutes).
