Perched at 2,543 ft atop our 66-acre Appalachian farm, this retreat offers sweeping views, peaceful surroundings, unforgettable sunsets, and nights under a sky full of stars. Wake slowly with coffee above the clouds, unwind in the hot tub, and experience the quiet beauty of Pride’s Mountain. The space The guest house is a spacious 1,200-square-foot layout featuring two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen — everything you need to settle in and feel at home. There are two queen beds (one in each bedroom), a twin-sized day bed in the living room, and what we confidently call the most comfortable couch on the planet — perfect for kids and teenagers. The space comfortably accommodates up to six guests, whether you are here as a family, a couple, or a small group looking to unplug. Inside, you will find an electric fireplace, a TV, Wi-Fi, and a kitchen set up for real cooking — not just reheating. Outside, step onto the wraparound porch with plenty of seating, a hammock, and views in every direction. In the evening, fire up the grill or build a fire in the fire pit and watch the sun drop behind the mountains. In the morning, grab your coffee and sit on the front porch for the kind of sunrise most people only see in photographs. The guest house has its own private entrance and is separated from the main house, giving you the space and quiet you came here for. That said, we live right next door — so if you need anything, you can reach us by phone, text, or email, and we will be there. Guest access You’ll have full access to the Guest House, which is attached to our home but fully private with its own separate entrances. Enjoy the hot tub—perfect for relaxing under the mountain sky—and feel free to explore the 66 acres of fields and woods. A peaceful creek sits at the bottom of the hill, and you’ll likely spot our farm animals along the way. The fire pit is available when conditions allow but may be paused during county burn bans or dry periods to help protect the surrounding land, forests and wildlife. We’ll always let you know if a burn ban is in effect during your stay—thanks for helping us care for the land. Other things to note We Are Unapologetically a Working Farm We want your stay to be everything you hope for—and that starts with knowing exactly what to expect before you book. ✦ Animal Encounters You will see, hear, and occasionally smell farm animals—they’re part of both our daily life and your experience here. From our four friendly dogs (always eager to help kids burn off road-trip energy), to our donkeys who are convinced they’re the true hosts, to cows that may take their time crossing the driveway, plus goats and pigs hard at work clearing the land—you’ll be fully immersed in farm life. ✦ Mountain Terrain We’re located on a mountaintop in Virginia. The gravel driveway is long, steep, and narrow in places. Take it slow - the views at the top are absolutely worth it, I promise. ✦ Nature Comes First This isn’t a polished, predictable hotel stay. It’s a real, working farm where nature sets the tone. You may encounter mud, insects, uneven ground, and the rhythms of rural life right outside your door.
