This rustic wilderness escape provides an intimate connection with nature where you can stroll along the river flats of the Brodribb River, and share the landscape with horses, donkeys, mini goats, and peacocks. Nothing but Pure Equine Therapy and a True Escape into Nature ~ The space Tiny Retreat by the River by Tiny Away, offers a serene wilderness escape in Goongerah, nestled along the Brodribb River in Gippsland, Australia. Nearby Mount Ellery and only an hour away from the town of Orbost. Discover vast forest trails or unwind by the river, just a stone's throw away. Connect with some of our farm’s friendly inhabitants and embrace the peaceful ambiance of this "equestrian escape." Surrounded by natural wonders like Errinundra National Park and Martins Creek Scenic Reserve, and with Snowy River National Park just a 134km drive away. Nearby, explore Marlo's coastal charm and McKillops Bridge's historic charm and experience the peaceful ambiance of this farm stay with the river's soothing flow, settled among towering trees. A comfortable, 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). If you plan to spend your tiny house Victoria getaways here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you! Guest access Guests can access the tiny home and surrounding areas. Please do not go through any closed gates, except the gate to the river. There are snakes, spiders, wombats, possums, chickens, guinea fowl, and peacocks on this property. We provide a safe habitat for the native animals, please keep away from the vegetated areas. Other things to note - Wifi is available - No BBQ Grill is available - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - Smoking is allowed in certain areas on the property - Please note that pet policies will be sent prior to arrival - Mobile reception has no signals for all telecom companies - Remember to bring all supplies as the closest shops are 70 km away! - Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality - Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas and clean after your pet’s droppings - Don’t forget to close the windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house/ property - Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out courtesy of other guests - Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers) - Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge Farm Stay Guidelines - We’re a working farm. There are heaps of friendly animals around that love humans. - There may also be a loose bit of wire or a burnt post that we have missed. This is because the entire property was burnt in the Black Summer bushfires of December 2019. We are in the process of rebuilding and re-fencing, so please let us know if you come across a stray bit of wire or burnt post. - Please do not feed any animals as it teaches them to become food aggressive (peacocks will start chasing children and horses will start biting) - Again, do not feed Peacocks as they will start coming into camps and then get attacked by a dog and also trash your camp. They are better left semi-wild. Snake safety guidelines - We ask guests to follow these safety guidelines to prevent snake bites - Avoid walking through tall grass or grasslands as snakes are abundant in the area - We recommend wearing long loose pants and close-toed shoes such as boots and sneakers when roaming around the property Important note: - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas - Please note that while there is no mobile reception in the area, most phones support WiFi calling and there is fast, reliable internet available for those who need to work during their retreat by the river. - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
