Open concept family-style home complete w/ beds for 8! Spacious bathroom with whirlpool tub. Large dining room with plenty of seating! Full kitchen w/coffee-maker, microwave, toaster, & crock pot. Upstairs has 3 queen beds & 2 twin beds. There are also 2 closets & a dresser to store your belongings. The basement is complete w/washer & dryer, & freezer that guests may use. Lots to do! Near the Porcupine Mountains, Jackson Creek & Black River Basin, ABR, snowmobile & fat bike trails, + more! The space The whole house has been recently updated. The main bed features a high-end Tempur-pedic mattress. The decor is simple and contemporary with a whimsical attitude. This is not a “rustic charm” getaway, like 99% of area places to stay, but rather a comfortable, clean, home-like setting used to hosting large groups with the perfect balance of supplies for you to use, but the tranquil lack of visual clutter for you to be able to TRULY enjoy your vacation! Perfect to include the kids but not childish that adults can't appreciate it. Large kitchen with extras like a crock pot to make your vacation a little easier. Lots of baking pans and cooling racks if you want to bake bread, dinner, or Christmas cookies! Open-concept first floor. Plenty of space at the custom-made table to enjoy meals and games. The living room has a large sectional and ottoman for getting everyone together for a movie night! Throw pillows and blankets make it comfortable for everyone! The bathroom has a whirlpool tub to soak in after a long day on the go! The house is close-by local ski hills, 4-wheeler/snowmobile/UTV trails, ABR, numerous waterfalls, fat bike trails, the Ottawa National Forest for hiking or boating, and much more! Close to town for last minute needs! Guest access Guests have access to the first and second floors as well as a washer and dryer and chest freezer in the basement. Feel free to build a snowman, sled in the yard, or build a fort! Enjoy the beauty of the backyard in spring and summer, and have dinner or morning coffee on the patio. Other things to note We are in the heart of Snow Country!! Lots of fresh powder, real snow, excellent snowmobile trails and great skiing; both downhill and cross-country! There’s a nearby trail for snowshoeing as well. It’s also great to take it slow, play some games, take the morning slow and kickback & relax! In spring, the waterfalls are at their fastest and there’s at least 10 different falls to see within a 30-40 minute drive of the house! In summer, you can ride the extensive network of trails on your UTV or four-wheeler and it’s perfectly legal to ride on the road! You can see Lake of the Clouds, hike the Porcupine Mountains, ride Fat bike trails, enjoy boating or fishing on the lake, take a swim, find rocks and agates, just to name a few things! Wakefield’s 3rd of July Fireworks are TOP Notch and VERY worth viewing from the banks of Sunday Lake. In fall, many of the summer attractions are still available, but you’ll also enjoy stunning Fall Colors displays. Short drives and hikes can lead you to astounding views where you can see the colors for miles! If the crisper air is more your speed, enjoy summer attractions but sans the humidity!
