The large window fills the room with natural light, making it bright and welcoming. 🪑Work & Storage Need to catch up on work? There's a handy desk with a lamp. The room also has a big closet space for storing your belongings during the stay. Luggage bags fit under the bed. 🛌Comfortable & Unwind The room is soothing and comfortable atmosphere to help you unwind after a day in the city. Watch your favourite show on the wall mounted TV while relaxing in bed. Please note: The room is located on the second floor of the house. You must climb a flight of stairs to get to the room. The kitchen and bathroom are shared. Being shared spaces, cleaning up after yourself is a MUST. The space outside the East Room may be used as a workstation or workspace during daytime hours. We live in the house and you will most likely see us around. We live with our dog Kumbah (who I found at the Kumbh Mela in Nasik, India back in 2015 and our cat Oliver (a local rescue). You may hear our dog bark occasionally. While they don't have access to your space, the shared bathroom or kitchen, we must pass through the shared hallway with our dog to take her out. While the house is easily accessible by public transport, if you happen to be driving parking on the street is paid to the city of Toronto. You can either pay for weekly pass or daily. The rates are $21.46 for 24 hours, $31.02 for 48 Hours or $46.51 per week. Look for City of Toronto street permit for overnight online. Either print out the confirmation before you arrive or you can write it down on a piece of paper and add it to the dashboard of the car. There is also a GreenP parking lot right around the corner. Opposite Ossington station. Rate Information for parking lot. $2.00/half hour Monday – Sunday & Holidays Day Maximum (7am – 6pm): $11.00 Night Maximum (6pm – 7am): $8.00 Guest access This room on the second floor is perfect for solo travellers looking for a comfortable and private space to relax in. You must climb a set of stairs. Your Bedroom: Queen-size bed, wardrobe closet, working desk and lamp, private door lock. Shared Washroom: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hair dryer included. Shared Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen, with a 4 burner stove, large modern oven, microwave, cutlery, flatware, tea kettle, coffee machine. Tea bags and coffee provided. Shared front yard and porch: Lovely for sipping tea or even having a meal. During your stay We will be your personal concierge for your stay. If you have any questions, you’re lost, or just need some great recommendations, we'll be there for you. We (the owners) live upstairs and are only a knock/call/message away if needed. Other things to note No outside visitors are allowed without prior permission from the hosts. No overnight visitors. Laundry facilities, including a washer and a dryer, are available at the property within the Owners’ living space. You will inform the Owners when you wish to access laundry facilities at the property and the Owners will provide access. To prevent misuse, washer/dryer use is free of charge a total number of three (3) loads of laundry per week for the duration of your booking (WITH A MINIMUM 5 NIGHT BOOKING) and then chargeable at $2.50 per load each for the washer and dryer. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets provided. There are also laundromats available off-property within walking distance in the neighbourhood. Due to the building's age and design, sound travels between floors and walls. We provide earplugs and white noise machines for your comfort. Please minimize noise between 11pm and 8am. You will also enjoy the quiet! We live upstairs and there is a DOG AND a CAT in the house. While they do not have access to your space, we CANNOT GUARANTEE AN ALLERGY-FREE ENVIRONMENT due to the central heating/air conditioning system. Given the house is on a central heating/air conditioning system, we cannot control the temperature for each level individually.
