La Grange, 1 hour from Paris and 15 minutes from Giverny

A charming eco-lodge in the heart of a peaceful village in the Vexin Normand, completely renovated in 2024. La Grange can accommodate up to 6 adults and 3 children. A barn, an old bakery, two "Tiny Houses", a natural swimming pool made entirely of wood, a sauna and a wood-burning stove. Organic sourced materials (hemp, wood, bricks, old tiles), ecological pool, nest boxes, compost, organic home and body products, everything has been thought out to respect nature and biodiversity. The house can accommodate up to 6 adults and 3 children (two in bedroom 1 and one in tiny bedroom 2) Our property is located in the hamlet of Aveny, in the heart of the Vexin Normand Natural Park, close to a pretty river: the Epte, and surrounded by green hills and the famous wheat fields painted by Monet and Van Gogh. Just 1 hour from Paris and 15 minutes from Giverny and Claude Monet's gardens, the change of scenery is total, and you won't see a single tourist! We restored and refurbished this part of the former Château d'Aveny farm, which included a barn and an oven where bread was made for the village. The bakery was enlarged to make it the main house (living room, dining room, kitchen and toilet on the ground floor, bedroom and shower room upstairs), two wooden "tiny houses" with green roofs were created, each comprising a comfortable bedroom, shower room and toilet, and the walls of the barn (whose roof has long since disappeared) house the pool and sauna, like a patio. Lying in the sun in a deckchair in the flower garden protected by stone walls that give it an air of Provence, enjoy the calm of the Normandy countryside. When it's hot, go for a refreshing dip in the 15-meter long, all-wood eco-friendly pool. When it's cold, warm up in the sauna or in front of the wood stove, nestled in the sofa with soft cushions At mealtime, organize large tables, on the wooden terrace or in the dining area completely open to the terrace thanks to large sliding glass doors, giving the impression of being in the garden. A wide variety of possible activities: ping-pong table, swimming pool like a 15 m long "swimming pool", sauna, and outside cultural visits, hiking, canoeing on the Epte, cycling, tennis, horseback riding, golf, soccer... We welcome you to the house to hand you the keys, explain how the different devices work (internet, appliances, etc.). The property has five rooms including three bedrooms: one in the Fournil and the other two in each of the two Tinys. Each bedroom has a private shower room and toilet. On the ground floor of the Fournil, you can enjoy the comfort of the living room with its wood-burning stove, the fully equipped kitchen-dining room and open to the large wooden terrace. Separate toilet with hand-washing sink. The Bedrooms: 3 bedrooms are at your disposal including: - the first on the first floor of the Fournil with a queen size bed (160 × 200 cm) + a child's bed (80 x 190 cm), shower room and toilet. - the second in the Tiny Blue with a double bed (140 x 190 cm), two bunk beds for children (80 cm x 180 cm) and a private bathroom, separate toilet. - the third in the Green Tiny with a double bed (140 x 190 cm) and a private bathroom, separate toilet. A baby crib can also be added. In total, the Fournil and the two Tinys can accommodate up to 9 people (6 adults and 3 children). Remote work: The place is great for remote work. We are connected to fiber optic, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, including in the garden and around the pool. In addition to the dining room that can be used as a meeting room, and a small office space in front of the window overlooking the garden, each Tiny has a desk area that will allow you to work quietly if needed. The Garden: All the rooms in the house overlook the garden.
