La Grange, 1 hour from Paris and 15 minutes from Giverny

A charming eco-lodge in the heart of a peaceful village in the Vexin Normand, completely renovated in 2024. La Grange can accommodate up to 6 adults and 3 children. A barn, an old bakery, two "Tiny Houses", a natural swimming pool made entirely of wood, a sauna and a wood-burning stove. Organic sourced materials (hemp, wood, bricks, old tiles), ecological pool, nest boxes, compost, organic home and body products, everything has been thought out to respect nature and biodiversity. The space Linens are included in the reservation. The house can accommodate up to 6 adults and 3 children (two in bedroom No. 1 and one in bedroom No. 2). 🚗 Electric vehicle charging station For your convenience, the Grange is equipped with an electric vehicle charging station (22 kW), accessible directly on the property. Our property is located in the hamlet of Aveny, right in the natural park of Vexin Normand, very close to a pretty river: l 'Epte, and surrounded by green hills and the famous wheat fields painted by Monet and Van Gogh. Only 1 hour from Paris and 15 minutes from Giverny and Claude Monet's gardens, the change of scenery is total, and you won't see a single tourist! We restored and redeveloped this part of the former farm of Château d 'Aveny, which included a barn and a furnace where we made bread for the village. The furnace has been expanded to make it the main house (living room, dining room, kitchen and toilet on the ground floor, bedroom and shower room upstairs), two wooden “tiny houses” with green roof have been created, each including a comfortable bedroom, shower room and toilet, and the walls of the barn (whose roof has long since disappeared) house the pool and sauna, like a patio. Lying in the sun in a sunbed in the flower garden protected by stone walls that give it a Provence feel, enjoy the calm of the Normandy countryside. When it's hot, dip in the eco-friendly 15-meter-long pool, all made of wood. When it's cold, warm up in the sauna or in front of the wood burner, coiled in the couch topped with soft cushions At meal time, organize large tables, on the wooden deck or in the dining area completely open to the terrace thanks to large sliding glass windows, giving the impression of being in the garden. A wide variety of activities possible: ping pong table, swimming pool like a 15m long "swimming pool", sauna, and outside cultural visits, hiking, canoeing on the Epte, cycling, tennis, horse riding, golf, football... We welcome you to the house to hand you the keys, explain how the different devices work (internet, appliances,...). The property has five rooms including three bedrooms: one in Fournil and the other two in each of the two Tinys. Each room has a private shower room and toilet. On the ground floor of Le Fournil, you can enjoy the comfort of the living room with its wood-burning stove, the fully equipped kitchen-dining room and open to the large wooden terrace. Separate toilet with hand wash. Bedrooms: 3 bedrooms are at your disposal including: - the first on the Fournil floor with a queen size bed (160×200 cm) + a crib (80x 190cm), shower room and toilet. - the second in the blue Tiny with a double bed (140x190cm), two bunk beds for children (80 cm x 180 cm) and a private bathroom, separate toilet. - the third in the green Tiny with a double bed (140x190cm) and a private bathroom, separate toilet. An umbrella bed for a baby can also be added. In total the Fournil and the two Tinys can accommodate up to 9 people (6 adults and 3 children). Working remotely: The place is great for remote work. We are indeed connected to fiber optic, and wifi is available throughout the property, including in the garden and around the pool. In addition to the dining room that can act as a meeting room, and a small office space in front of the window overlooking the garden, each Tiny has an office area that will allow you to work quietly if needed. Garden: All the rooms of the house overlook the garden. Other things to note For a reservation on weekends, check-in is from 4 p.m. and checkout is possible until late afternoon on Sunday For stays on weekdays and during school holidays, check-ins start at 4 p.m. and departures at 10 a.m. Other information 🔹 Swimming pool The swimming pool is heated to 26°C (78.8°F) from May 1st to September 30th. Outside this period, it remains accessible, but its temperature will depend on weather conditions. It should be noted that, even in winter, the pool is still very popular in addition to the sauna. For your comfort and everyone's safety: - The pool area is fully enclosed (walls and two gates). When no adult is present, it is essential to close and lock the gates using the system located at a height, which is specially designed to be out of reach of young children. - The pool is also equipped with an electric safety barrier that complies with the NF P90-308 standard. We recommend that you close it after each use to maintain the water temperature and quality, and that you do so without fail when young children are present.
