The space Laurisilva Home is a guest house located in a rural settlement in the heart of Anaga Natural Park, probably the most beautiful area on the entire island. Anaga is known for its lush nature, characterized by the native vegetation called "laurisilva" and for being one of the preferred destinations for stargazing on clear nights. The Fern Nook is located on the first floor of Laurisilva Home. It is the most welcoming of all the houses. At its entrance, there is a large living room-kitchen illuminated by natural light that enters through one of its glass walls and crowned by sturdy wooden beams that bring the materials of nature inside. Attached and separated by an island, there is a fully-equipped kitchen, inspired by the ferns that give the accommodation its name. There is also a first bathroom next to the entrance. From that living room, we have access to a side balcony that opens to the vastness of the Anaga Natural Park with a hanging chair facing the vastness, ideal for reading or quietly enjoying a glass of local wine. From the living room, we have access to two very large bedrooms, one of them with an en-suite bathroom, with two spectacular windows overlooking the sea and the mountains and even, on clear days, Mount Teide in the distance. Waking up to that immensity is a once-in-a-lifetime experience on the island. The entire layout and decoration of Fern Nook is designed to bring the natural landscape outside, the green of its ferns, into the house: the heavy wooden beams that adorn the ceilings, the living room open to the outside and the plant nursery, the large mirrors in the bedrooms that reflect the horizon and allow views from any point in the room... All designed to delight our guests' senses. The accommodation is located in the hamlet called Casas de la Cumbre, in the heart of the Anaga Rural Park and very close to tourist attractions such as Pico del Inglés, Cruz del Carmen or the Jardina viewpoint. The city of La Laguna is a 30-minute drive away, and the island's best beaches (Benijo and Almáciga), as well as the picturesque village of Taganana, are another half an hour away by car. We look forward to hosting you at Fern Nook, a cozy nook where you can experience nature and is unique on the island. Other things to note - The area is especially known for its hiking trails. Multiple routes start from there or very close by. - The preferred mode of access is by car. However, bus 076 (from the La Laguna interchange) can leave you a few meters from the house (just at the point where the main road turns off). - It is recommended not to arrive at night to find the house more easily. Please note that it is a rural area in a Natural Park. - Bring the food you want to use before arriving at the accommodation as there are NO supermarkets nearby. There are restaurants nearby (by car) but their hours are restricted and you won't find food at night. - A crib, high chair and baby bath can be rented upon request and confirmation of availability. - You can park on the street outside the accommodation for free, but you'll be sent directions on how to do it to avoid blocking the road and not prevent other guests from parking as well. - For safety reasons, the use of bioethanol fireplaces has been condemned and it is strictly forbidden to try to use them. Their use is purely decorative.
