Sirena Surf Lodge Room #5 is a small AC room, steps away from the breaking waves of Punta Miramar. Room #5 has a communal bathroom. Sirena Surf Lodge is located in a sleepy fishing village called Playa Miramar, with a few places to explore and lots of waves to surf... we are well known as a premier Surf Camp in the region. We offer guided surfing, boat trips to Puerto Sandino (La Barra), fishing trips, and other tours. Some of our rooms, like Room #5 are located directly on the beach. We have huge sliding glass doors, basically a wall of windows open to the ocean...you can watch people surfing without lifting your head from the pillow. We are the closest lodging to Puerto Sandino, arguably the best wave in Nicaragua and offer daily boat trips for $20 per person. The trips are daily and conditions permitting and departure times depend on tides/swell etc... Surf Lessons and surfboard rentals are available ($25hr/$15 per day) as well as other tourist adventures and land transport to the airport and other cities as well. We have very good and reliable fiber optic wifi to stay connected with the family. Your room will be shared with only your travel partners, but the whole house common areas are shared except for the kitchen. This includes a back patio with hammocks, two front terraces with hammocks and various other "chill" spaces. The dining area has huge hardwood slab table that accommodates 16, there's a television with Netflix,Youtube, Apple TV etc... Our central living room has a pool table, air hockey and dart board. We have an ice machine and all water is filtered and safe to drink. Of course the beach out front is the main feature but we do have 4 fat tire beach bikes free for you to use and explore the village! Our kitchen is a home kitchen from which we produce amazing meals three times a day for the guests. You can order a la carte or arrange for a meal package. The kitchen is not available for guest use, but we're happy to prepare meals, snacks, smoothies or whatever you may need from our menu. We do not allow outside food and drink, though if you have snacks or fruit we're not going to "police" it. We do not allow outside beverages, we have alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale at reasonable prices. There are a few other bars and restaurants in the area that we can direct you to when you're here...we encourage helping to support the locals. Reading a guest and their needs is one of the most important parts of hospitality. We're great at anticipating your needs and certainly if we've missed something, don't hesitate to ask and we'll make it happen. Miramar is a quiet and safe fishing village located about 4km south of the town of Puerto Sandino. The local residents are shy for the most part, but that barrier can be broken with a simple smile and a desire to interact with them. If you don't speak Spanish it's okay...everyone speaks in Universal sign language and a smile is your ticket into this universe. Miramar runs parallel to the beach for about 2 miles and is mostly made up of beach homes with a few restaurants and a couple of bars along the way. Most activity is centered around surfing and particularly access to Puerto Sandino surf spot about 4 km north. We run our boat daily to the surf spot depending on conditions. Busses run daily between Miramar and Leon. Bus access to Managua requires exiting the bus at the "Impalma Gasolinera" at Carratera Leon Viejo (NIC 12). We offer private transport and other arrangements can be made. Sirena Surf Lodge is easy to find on Google maps. Your vacation time is very important to us.
