Description
Situated in the heart of historic Ceriana, lies our tranquil hideaway. Unwind on the top floor, indoor or out, with stunning eagles lair views of the Ligurian alps. Sleep comfortably under medieval arches. Shops, cafes and restaurants only 5 minutes away. Surrounded by wonderful walks and hiking trails. Beaches and the elegant town of Sanremo only 20 minutes away. Perfect for an active family or as a refuge for those seeking peace and solitude in the fresh mountain air. The space This restored townhouse is an authentic Ligurian 'borgo', only 15-20 minutes drive from the seaside and about an hour and 15 minutes from Nice Airport. With its vaulted ceilings, heavy stone walls and terrazzo floors, this house provides the perfect setting for a genuinely rustic italian holiday. In order to create a light and open atmosphere, doors have been removed on all three floors save for the bathroom. Terrace with stunning views The house has three floors and a 25 m2 terrace extending from the top floor with a breathtaking view of the mountain terraces that provides world famous olives, truffles and vegetables. With a double bed in the master bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room there's plenty of room for a family or a small party of friends. (Please note there are no doors between the bedrooms). There is an option to sleep on the top floor for enhanced privacy if that is an issue. Perched on a cliff at the end of a lush valley between the sea and the Ligurian alps, Ceriana is an ideal base for exploring the region, whether your prefer hiking, swimming, skiing - or just staying put in this charming village, enjoying the views, the friendly cerianasci and sampling the local cuisine. Guest access All parts of the house are accessible to our guests. Other things to note Please note: This is a medieval town with a lot of stairs. Likewise, the house is on three floors connected by stairs, so, unfortunately for some, sore legs will be part of this rustic experience. Heating: During colder periods, the main source of heating has been a pellet heater using apx. one sack of pellets per day. The charge is 5 euro per sack. We have plans to install a heat pump system by October 2025. Cooling Even though we are in the mountains it can get quite hot in the height of summer. There are two fans, one is a high quality tower fan. Registration Details IT008016C2008F3JBO
