A-Frame with Carousel Fireplace

Description

A-Frame with Carousel Fireplace - escape to the mountains and get out in nature to hike, enjoy the lakes, and skiing/snowboarding 🪵 Fireplace, board games, hot cocoa 🎿 Lakes, hiking, skiing, snowboarding 🍗 Large deck BBQ + grilling tools 💿 Record player w/vintage records 🐾 Dogs welcome! Dog beds, bowls, treats 🧘 Yoga mats, blocks, free weights 👶 Pack-n-play, organic bedding, kid dishes 🖥️ Frame TV, 544Mbps wifi, desk + chair 🚗 Chargepoint EV charger Level 2, 48A Occasional road noise can be heard when outside on the front and back decks or if you have a window open. WINTER - During snow season, November to March, you’ll need an AWD/4WD and chains are required. While only needed maybe 2-3 times during the season, if stopped you will need to show them. You can pick up a set before heading up the mountain and return if unused. Stairs up to loft bedroom are a little steep but there is a railing for your safety. I like to go down the stairs while facing them and holding the railing. Interested in extending your stay? Ask about our half-day add-on for an early arrival or late departure, subject to calendar availability. Housekeeping services are available during your stay upon request. If you catch some groovy shots, we'd love to see! Find us on IG @liveoakaframe. The cabin is just 5 minutes off of Highway 330 on a 10,000 sq ft, 1/4 acre lot. There are full-time neighbors on each side but everyone keeps to themselves and it is peaceful. You may be greeted by my neighbor's dog Desdimona (Desi) - she’s a sweetheart. PARKING - paved driveway that fits 2 cars with a Level 2 Chargepoint EV charger. A personal vehicle is recommended for exploring the area. When coming up on 330, you'll make a left on to Live Oak Drive and then keep a sharp eye out as you'll make a left onto the driveway that slopes down from the street. If coming up the mountain on Highway 18, as you get close to the turn on Live Oak, keep a sharp eye out. The turn is an extreme hard right. Once on Live Oak, as you get close to the cabin, it is also a hard right. My recommendation is to go past the cabin just a bit - which sits below the street level - to the next street on the left - Ferndale - and take a left and turn around to come back up Live Oak and make a left into the driveway. OR, go slightly past the driveway, put your flashers on, and then back into the driveway. If you'd like to get out for a walk, just be aware there are no sidewalks but there is very little traffic so once crossing over the main road you can walk in the middle of the road to take your dogs out or get some fresh air. NOTE - During the snow season (typically November to March), an AWD or 4WD vehicle is highly advised. Tire chains are required to be carried in your vehicle during this period and you may be stopped and asked to show them. You can purchase a set before heading up the mountain and return them if they go unused. I am reachable during your stay over the app or by text or cell phone. If the cleaners are ready earlier we will let you know. If you'd like to drop off luggage beforehand please let us know. Your code is the last 4 of the phone number used when you booked: - Enter the code and press the checkmark button. - Wait til you hear lock disengage to turn doorknob. - When you leave, pull door tight and just press the Yale symbol to lock - no code needed PARKING: Parking is right in front of house in the driveway and can fit 2 cars. Street parking is not allowed per County rules. INTERNET: Network Name – Live Oak A-Frame Password – TimeCapsule CENTRAL AIR AND HEAT: -Controlled by thermostat on wall next to kitchen. -Temp is set within a wide range so doesn't go below 55 in winter to prevent pipes from freezing or setting the AC down to 50 in summer which will cause the condenser to freeze and the system to stop working. If that range doesn't work for you just reach out. -Select temp by turning rather than pushing dial -Please keep sliding doors closed when on. -63 seems to be a good temp for heating and 74 for cooling. -Note that upstairs loft will be 2-3 degrees warmer than downstairs, so adjust accordingly. FIREPLACE: To light the logs, click the flame starter and then gently turn the gas on to light it. KITCHEN: You should find everything you need. Plenty of dishes and vintage glassware. Silverware is in the drawer opposite the kitchen sink. The drawer next to it has parchment, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, ziploc bags and spare dishtowels. Pots and pans are in the cupboard below the cooktop. Coffee, tea, and spices in cupboard above the stove. You’ll also find some microwave popcorn packs. The microwave is in the right hand cupboard opposite the kitchen sink. You’ll find dishes and glasses in the cupboard above the sink area. In the drawers next to the sink you’ll find larger cutlery for cooking, lemon squeezer, garlic press, measuring cups and spoons, etc. DISHWASHER: Fill full of dishes – no need to rinse first. Tablets are under sink. Place one tablet in dispenser compartment. Make sure clicks when closed. Press Normal Wash, then Start. (if the delay button lights up, just press til goes out) NO SMOKING: Not allowed inside. If you smoke on the deck of course be super careful not to drop a lit ember. TRASH: Trash is a pull out under the kitchen sink. If you can put recycling in a bag we will take care of it (waiting for the city to bring our bins!) OTHER THINGS TO KNOW: There are miscellaneous board games and puzzles in the cabinet next to the couch. There are 2 yoga mats under the coffee table and some yoga blocks and small weights in the corner opposite the couch. There are a few albums to enjoy on the record player. A selection of art and architecture books on the shelving unit. CHECK OUT: Check out is anytime before 11am. Should you require a later check out we will do our best but please let us know as soon as you can beforehand. If we have guests arriving the same day the cleaners may need the full time to prepare for the next guests. No need to strip beds or wash linens. Thank you for booking, and we hope you enjoy your stay. If there are any issues, please don't hesitate to tell us, as we want to ensure we can resolve them. As well, if there are any details that would make your stay even better, we are always open to suggestions for additions and improvements.
