Relax at our Mountain View Casita – a one-of-a-kind retreat in the hi-desert. Located approximately 15 miles from Palm Springs and 15 miles from Joshua Tree, our location offers the perfect opportunity to dine in town and then star gaze in the Park. This rural area at the edge of the Sand to Snow National Monument includes stunning views of the San Jacinto and San Gorgonio mountains. Nearby Big Morongo Canyon Preserve is an internationally-recognized birding site with lots of hiking trails. The space Our property consists of 5 acres, next to the San Gorgonio Wilderness Area. The owners live and work in the main house and the large garage/workshop, which is fenced in. The casita stands alone near the front gate, so guests can enjoy their privacy and come and go at any time. The casita includes a fully equipped kitchen and living room with smart TV as well as a separate study area with high-speed Starlink WiFi. There is also a separate bedroom with a king-size bed and black out shades as well as a bathroom and huge walk-in closet. Outside, guests can enjoy a gas barbeque grill and gas fire pit under the stars. Guest access You will have the casita to yourself, with key code access to come and go as you please. We recommend you arrive during daylight hours the first time you arrive. Other things to note The kitchen is fully-equipped with dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans and other amenities. We provide initial cleaning supplies for you to get started. Weekly cleaning services may be purchased for an additional fee. We provide laundry facilities for guests to use once a week. There are also laundromats, dry cleaners, and wash & fold services in the area.
