Mead Chapel, is a stylish and boutique holiday cottage for 2 guests - ADULTS only. Our quirky converted chapel offers modern, comfortable accommodation, perfect for couples looking to enjoy a unique holiday. 1 small well behaved dog is also welcome! Mead Chapel is set amidst the picture-perfect Somerset village of Drayton, with an excellent village pub restaurant just a few minutes walk! Centrally heated throughout the chapel provides a restful and romantic getaway whatever the time of year The space Mead Chapel, a stylish and boutique holiday cottage, sleeps 2 ADULT guests and one small well behaved dog. This quirky converted chapel offers modern, comfortable accommodation that is perfect for couples looking to enjoy a unique holiday. Our heavenly couples retreat, is beautifully set amidst the picture-perfect Somerset village of Drayton, which has an excellent village pub restaurant within a few minutes walk! Mead Chapel is an idyllic retreat for couples of all ages and is well placed for a romantic honeymoon - there’s a number of great wedding venues close by; one of which is just a few minutes drive! If you are bringing your DOG we do make a small charge per stay so please add your pet to the guest list in the drop down box. (So Sorry but the Chapel isn’t suitable for children or babies) Radiating a timeless charm, the sleepy village of Drayton has streets lined with a mix of period cottages and impressive larger houses and also a charming a 15th century church. Not only is there a friendly pub restaurant walking distance, but the nearby villages of Curry Rivel and Langport are just a short drive away and offer a great choice of independent shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, as well as riverside activities along the river Parrett. There are beautiful nature-walks starting right from the doorstep Of Mead Chapel, offering plenty of scope to explore the Somerset levels and nearby Dorset. Entering the chapel through the original double chapel doors, there’s stone floor hallway with space for coats and muddy boots etc. Through the next set of double doors the ground floor opens out into a stylish, vaulted sitting room with comfy sofa and a dining area. The solid oak floor then leads on to a well equipped kitchen and modern shower room with large walk in shower. In the lounge you can snuggle on the comfy sofa with your morning coffee or a glass of wine; there’s also a smart TV to keep you nicely entertained, a Bluetooth speaker to select your favourite soundtrack, along with a selection of books to browse. Unfortunately the Chapel is not suitable for children or babies. DOGS Please note that 1 small - medium well behaved dog is welcome to join you during your stay at Mead Chapel. If you are bringing your DOG we do make a small charge per stay so please add your pet to the guest list in the drop down box. Guests are requested to keep their pet off of the furniture and on the ground floor of the cottage; and not left unattended in the property at any time - thank you for your cooperation. Please note that the garden area is not fenced. When it’s finally time for bed, simply head up the stairs to the carpeted mezzanine bedroom. Furnished with a kingsize bed dressed in designer cotton linens, you’re all but guaranteed a sound night’s slumber. On this floor there’s also a chest of drawers and a second TV. For guests needing hanging space, there is a rail and hangers for this in the cupboard next to the dining area on the ground floor. The modern kitchen is equipped with electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge and Nespresso coffee machine. To the front of the Chapel there’s a picnic table for enjoying your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. To the rear of the chapel is a lockable shed, in case guests would like to bring their bikes along. Parking. Although guests are unable to park directly in front of the chapel entrance, there’s generally a parking space opposite or anywhere along School street or in the village Main Street. All free of course! A very warm welcome awaits our lovely guests! And to make your stay extra special we always leave some fresh goodies - croissants, milk, tea, coffee, coffee pods, biscuits and of course a bottle of wine. We also leave a few rolls of loo paper, washing up liquid, bin liners, kitchen paper and foil etc. as a starter pack. Please note that only the 2 guests mentioned in the reservation information are permitted to stay at the Chapel. Guest access Entire property Other things to note Children - unfortunately, Mead Chapel is NOT suitable for children or babies of any age. Dog owners One small dog is most welcome at Mead Chapel. Please keep your pet on the ground floor of the property and off of the furniture - many thanks for your cooperation. Please note that the garden area is not fenced.
