Getaway on top of Porters Mountain in the Blue Ridge close to Bedford and Roanoke, Blue Ridge Pkwy entrance, local wineries, and Appalachian Trail entrances. This two story home offers 2 decks with great views and fenced in yard for pet owners. Plenty of room to relax. Great for longer stays. Fully stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds and entertainment at home. Bring your hiking boots and your pets! Great for longer stays. This is a split home with two stories with stairs to get to bottom. There are also 6 steps from parking area to enter home. The home offers a large 2000 sqft of space to relax with 3 large bedrooms and two living room spaces each with their own Smart TV. Master bedroom has private full bath with queen size bed. Two guest rooms with queen beds. Two full guest bathrooms on both floors. Living room has couch that turns into full size bed as well as music room for a total of 5 beds available. Only 6 guests are allowed. (6 adults + infants OK). Pack n' Go infant crib available in home with a high chair. Home is on a well so we do request to please conserve water use when taking showers. Easy access year round right off main road with parking for up to 3 cars. Strongly advise carpooling because of minimal parking availability because road in front goes to all my neighbors so please do not park in it. It's country busy. 18 wheelers to 4 wheelers. =D Fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. I probably even have stuff you don't have. It's stocked. Special note that the main refrigerator in kitchen is not a full size refrigerator. Its about 3/4 size but there is also a second small refrigerator available located downtowns in entertainment room for drinks and grill food. It hasn't been an issue but just to know if you plan to bring a lot of food to put in refrigerator. You might bring a cooler if a very large amount*. There are major grocery markets only 15 minutes away as well as many restaurants if you go out to eat. Coffee, creamer, coffee pods, and many condiments are already stocked in fridge and kitchen. Walkout to backyard deck looking down the mountain valley to see Peaks of Otter Mountain. Home is located in the middle of Porter's Mountain in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Very beautiful autumn fall colors. Vast views in the winter. Plenty of space inside and out to just enjoy a beautiful day. Included is musical instruments to jam if you want, karaoke system with lights to set the mood, dart board, many many games if you like board games, and fenced in area for pets with fire pit. Also has private area with 10/100 connection + laser print for work on vacation for friends and family to use. Home is professionally cleaned and sanitized. Home is in very rural bug loving country. So please keep doors and windows shut if not using at all times. There will be occasional bugs or spiders that make their way in. Specifically during sunset if you keep doors open you might encounter gigantic moths or even a bat. This is why it's important to shut doors after use. Home has satellite interest for Roku Guest Mode and web browsing but it is not cable internet. If you need high speeds for remote working we suggest choosing another more urban home in Roanoke. Other things to note There are 6 steps for entrance of home. 3 going down and 3 going up. There are stairs to bottom level of home. The main living area of home is on the first floor so older adults can come if they can walk steps to entrance. Access to living, dining, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms all are on first floor. Karaoke, music room, and laundry area are on bottom floor. There are side stairs to go from the fire pit to the bottom deck to use. Please do not walk down step hill take steps otherwise can be dangerous. Please note that check in time ends at 11pm to avoid disturbing our neighbors. There is only room to park 3 vehicles.
