Pet owners --> Pet friendly. If you have big dogs that jump and aren't disciplined my fence is only 4ft high. There are unleashed neighborhood dogs nearby. For that reason if that makes you feel unsafe for long walks I suggest Montvale Park very close by. Majority of all my guests are pet owners and our very satisfied during their stay. The home is on top of a mountain in a rural area. This is a split home with two stories with stairs to get to bottom. There are also 6 steps from parking area to enter home. The home offers a large 2000 sqft of space to relax with 4 large bedrooms and two living room spaces each with their own Smart TV. There are 2 queens on first story and 1 queen and two full size beds on basement floor with walkout patio deck to mountain views. Master bedroom has private full bath with queen size bed. Two guest rooms with queen beds. Two full guest bathrooms on both floors. Music room has extra day bed that offers 2 full size beds. Only 6 guests are allowed (Permitted by county). (6 adults + infants OK). Pack n' Go infant crib available in home with a high chair. Home is on a well so we do request to turn off water when not in use. Easy access year round right off main road with parking for up to 3 cars only. Strongly advise carpooling because of minimal parking availability. Road in front gives access to other mountain homes even though you don't see them. It's very active. Fully stocked kitchen and outdoor gas grill and charcoal grills available. I probably even have stuff you don't have. It's 100% stocked. Please clean after use. Special note that the main refrigerator in kitchen is not a full size refrigerator. Its about 3/4 size but there is also a second small refrigerator available located in downstairs living room. Kitchen offers basic coffee, creamer, seasonings available. If you plan to bring a large amount of food it's best to bring your own large cooler. Most guests book for 2-5 nights and buy as needed. Shopping is very close by only 15 minutes (Kroger/Walmart/Food Lion). Home has beautiful views year round summer through falls. Gorgeous views and best weather if booking late September to November as leaves change colors. Have some family time. Many board games to play together, music instruments to have fun with, darts, oversized games, corn hole, and karaoke system to sing to. Home is professionally cleaned and sanitized after each guests. Home is in very rural bug loving country. So please keep doors and windows shut if not using at all times. There will be occasional bugs or spiders that make their way in. At sunset please make sure screen doors/glass doors in back are closed. Bat caves are in middle of the valley. Drive slow. You will see deer possibly even a black bear. This is mountain country. Home has satellite internet set for Roku Guest Mode on TVs and web browsing but it is not cable internet. If you need high speeds for remote working we suggest choosing another more urban home in Roanoke. For 99% of guests the internet is fast enough. This home is curated for the mountain and nature lovers that choose to book a home on top of a mountain away from the city for the privacy and quiet star filled nights. Please note that I request guests check in to home by 11pm. I'm always available standby to make sure you have an easy check in. There is only room to park 3 vehicles MAXIMUM. If you have more vehicles please DO NOT block the roadway when parking. Park very close to front garden behind mailbox not to block any part of the road in front of home or you will be towed. Other things to note There are 6 steps for entrance of home. 3 going down and 3 going up. There are stairs to bottom level of home. The main living area of home is on the first floor so older adults can come if they can walk steps to entrance. Access to living, dining, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms all are on first floor. Karaoke, music room, and laundry area are on bottom floor. There are side stairs to go from the fire pit to the bottom deck to use. Please do not walk down step hill take steps otherwise can be dangerous. Please note that check in time ends at 11pm to avoid disturbing our neighbors. There is only room to park 3 vehicles. If you have more vehicles please DO NOT block the roadway when parking. Have a great stay!
