Located in the heart of the trendy Hunters Point, Long Island City, Queens you will find eclectic restaurants, wide variety of bars, and beautiful waterfront parks to see the full, magnificent skyline of Manhattan. If adventure is what you seek, step right outside the door of your accomodation & take 7 subway one stop to Manhattan. You are also 1 block from NYC marathon route. Your room has a private entrance. You have access to the bathroom, shower, and kitchen. Stay with us and enjoy NYC. The room that you will be staying in is cozy. It has a bunk bed where the bottom bunk is a full size (double) bed which also converts to a couch (futon). The top bunk is a single and can support anyone weighing 100lbs (40kg) or less. We prefer only 2 adults but the 3rd can be a young child. You have a private entrance to the room. You have private entrance to the shared wash closet (toilet only). The kitchen and bathroom with the shower/ sink are shared. You will also have access to a backyard space with a BBQ, a firepit, lounge chairs, and a outdoor table. If you are a light sleeper I want to provide full disclosure. Vernon Blvd can be noisy at times with cars, trucks, and just the people walking outside. Welcome to NYC... its a busy place ;) You have access to the bathroom, the kitchen and the shower. You will also have access to a backyard space with a BBQ, a firepit, lounge chairs, and a outdoor table. Melissa and I are here to answer any questions that you may have. We want you to enjoy yourselves and have an amazing time in NYC. I can possibly arrange to pick you up at the airport (if I am available). From LGA, I would charge $20. From JFK, I would charge $30. I can also arrange to have metrocards for the subway ready for you when you get here. I know what its like to try and figure out the public transport in another country/city. ;) With all that being said, Melissa and I are not the intrusive type so if you want to do your own thing we will not be offended. Vernon Blvd is FANTASTIC. Where you will be staying is the Hunters Point area. Across the street is a 24 hour supermarket. There are several restaurants and bars within a 3 block radius. The 7 subway is literally right outside the door which will take you either to Citi Field to see the Mets or to the heart of Midtown Manhattan in Times Square. Walk 3 blocks and you are at a waterfront park called Gantry Park which has the best views of the Manhattan skyline that you will ever see. If you are watching someone run the NYC marathon, we are 1 block away from the marathon route. We are approximately at mile 13/mile 14. You will love it here! Getting around is easy. The accomodation is located in the middle of everything so you can walk or take the subway. If those 2 options don't suffice, I would suggest taking an Uber. They are usually able to pick up in less than 5 mins and are reasonably priced. If you have a car, parking can be a bit challenging but available. We can talk about this separately if this pertains to your situation.
