Welcome to our charming retreat in Traverse City, where we’ve realized our dream of owning a second home. Nestled in the woods on the serene Long Lake Peninsula, this spacious cottage is the perfect place to escape, unwind, and enjoy all the beauty Northern Michigan has to offer. With its unique vintage decor and cozy up-north vibes, you’ll feel right at home—just like we do. It’s hard to leave, but we’re excited to share this place with you! Location: Central to Everything in Traverse City Our cottage is centrally located, offering easy access to everything you might want to explore in the area. While summer is a great time to visit with access to Long Lake, this is truly a year-round destination. Enjoy breweries, wineries, scenic trails, delicious restaurants, and local attractions just a short drive away. In the fall, the vibrant colors of the surrounding woods are an absolute must-see. 12 minutes to downtown Traverse City 25 minutes to Mt. Holiday 30 minutes to Crystal Mountain 15 minutes to Lake Ann 30 minutes to Suttons Bay 10 minutes to Interlochen 35 minutes to Glen Arbor, Leland, Frankfort, and Sleeping Bear Dunes The Cottage: Spacious, Thoughtful Design for Maximum Comfort Our cottage is designed with your relaxation in mind. Whether you're gathering together or enjoying some privacy, you'll find the perfect spot. The two-story side of the cottage features: A cozy living area with a wet bar and sliding door that opens to a small patio. A king master suite with a private balcony. A second bedroom with full-size bunk beds—perfect for families or groups—connected to the shared bathroom. Note: The second bedroom is accessed through the bathroom, but the bathroom has two doors for privacy. The one-story side of the cottage includes: A fully-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook meals. A bedroom with a queen bed and connected full bath. A lower level with an on-site laundry area, game room with foosball, Smart TV (bring your console!), and a futon that converts to a 5th bed. Our well-stocked kitchen includes an Instant Pot, crockpot, blender, coffee station, and more. Enjoy traditional coffee, tea, or use the Keurig and Nespresso machines (bring your own Nespresso pods). Exterior Features: Relax & Unwind Outdoors Step outside and enjoy: Three patios for soaking up the fresh air. A BBQ grill and picnic table for meals outdoors. A fire pit perfect for cozy nights under the stars. Note: Long Lake Township limits occupancy, so we do not allow large or loud parties. Quiet hours are observed after 10 PM. Family & Pet-Friendly: Your Furry Friends Are Welcome We’re happy to accommodate small children and furry companions. The cottage includes a pack n play, high chair, and kids’ dishes and utensils. If you’re bringing your dog(s), there’s a $150 pet fee per stay, and we allow up to two well-behaved dogs. The yard and nearby park are perfect for your pets to explore. Please let us know in advance if you're bringing pets so we can ensure a comfortable stay. Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage. Getting Supplies: Convenient & Close Need supplies? Target, Aldi, Meijer, and Wal-Mart are all just 12 minutes away! We provide two kayaks that can be transported by most SUVs, trucks, or hatchbacks. We also have two kayak caddies. Swim, relax on the swim platform, or just sit on the dock and enjoy the breeze. We’ve provided beach chairs, floats, and sand toys, so you can skip the store and dive right into lake fun. Two public beaches are located on the other side of the lake. Enjoy outdoor adventures with our three adult/teen-sized bikes, perfect for exploring the peninsula. Robert Doerr Park: Fun for All Ages Just around the corner, Robert Doerr Park offers a variety of activities for everyone: volleyball, basketball, baseball, a play structure for kids, disc golf, and tetherball.
