Perched high above the town on a stunning mountain, just a 10-minute walk from restaurants, beautiful beaches, and shops. Tucked away in a vibrant garden oasis, with jaw-dropping views of the blue ocean, a colourful fishing village, and lush green mountains from every angle — comfort embraced by nature’s most spectacular creations. Come, kick back, and take it all in. The space A guest house crafted with lots of love for travellers drawn to natural elements. The View embraces comfort, simplicity, and the splendour of nature. Here, tranquillity fills the air—no crowds, just peaceful open spaces alive with birdsong and the soft ocean breeze. We’ve kept things simple and thoughtful: just three unique, adults-only guest rooms—each with its own private bathroom and floor-to-ceiling glass doors, guaranteeing immersion in the most spectacular views, no matter the height. For travellers seeking something truly special, we offer views for days, effortless coziness, chilled vibes, and a space that brings the outdoors in. A place where you can truly feel at home, even when you’re miles away. YOUR OWN PRIVATE SPACE: Serenity Guest Room Picture yourself in a space that captures the essence of coastal living. Gaze in awe at the captivating views all while snuggled up in the plush comfort of your queen-size bed. The room has been thoughtfully designed with carefully selected decor that showcases the talents of local artisans, and furnished with beautifully handcrafted wooden pieces that add a touch of rustic charm to the space. Additionally, a private sunroom crafted from stone seamlessly connects the bedroom and bathroom, providing a peaceful spot to unwind and enjoy the lush greenery that lives within its walls. Located on the second level, Serenity can be accessed via a set of stairs that is shared with our Evergreen Guest room. In case Serenity is already booked for your desired dates, you can check the availability of our other rooms, namely, Evergreen or Oceans, by clicking on the 'your host' link. SHARED space Serving Three Rooms: The ground floor features a fully equipped communal kitchen that seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor spaces. You’ll find everything you need to whip up a quick snack or a full meal. To kickstart your morning, we provide one Dolce gusto coffee capsule per guest per day, and filtered water is always available for your convenience. Step outside to the covered entertaining area, where a Brazilian-style BBQ, plenty of dining spots, and a cozy lounge invite you to relax, enjoy a meal with a view, or simply connect with fellow travellers. Guest access A water canal separates us from the hustle of downtown—no cars make it up this mountain. Instead, your adventure begins with a 10-minute walk along a scenic paved nature trail through the welcoming, colorful community of Barra da Lagoa. We will warmly welcome you and guide you upon your arrival. As you make your way to The View House, you’ll pass friendly locals, vibrant colourful homes, and lush tropical greenery. It’s a glimpse into the heart and soul of Barra—a place where simplicity, nature, and community shine. We’ve added some photos of the trail under the "Additional Photos" section on our listing—be sure to check them out to get a better sense of the journey. 🌿IMPORTANT 🌿 The trail includes a few challenges—stairs, uneven grounds and a bit of a climb. If you have mobility concerns, we kindly suggest considering this before booking. To make your journey easier, we recommend bringing only what you can comfortably carry—think backpacks and small carry-on suitcases. Other things to note 🌿 No parking on site — You’ll find plenty of free and paid spots in central Barra, just a 10–15 minute walk from us. Any questions? Long before the arrival of The View House, this ecological environment already had its inhabitants: Lizards, insects, ants, mosquitoes, spiders, geckos, crabs, Monkeys, birds etc We thrive with the highest cleaning standards; however, some creatures will inevitably pay us a visit with an open door. 🌿Adults Only. This is a no-kid zone. 🌿 Check-in time is between 3:00 PM and 10 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate an early check-in or provide a late check-out. These times are fixed, considering the interval necessary for cleaning and preparing the space between reservations. If you require luggage storage, this may be possible; however, please make arrangements in advance. 🌿 We kindly ask guests to be mindful of noise out of respect for other guests and our neighbours—especially after 10 PM. 🌿 We don't provide housekeeping during your stay, but we guarantee that everything will be sparkling clean upon arrival. 🌿 We totally get that pets are family, but for now, The View House is a no-pets zone. 🌿 No outside visitors are allowed on the property at any given time.
