Feel Ometepe's charm in this inviting, nature-inspired escape. Other things to note The house has solar-powered hot water, so on cloudy or rainy days, hot water availability may be limited. Air conditioning is available and included for up to 8 hours per day (approx. 15 kWh). This usually covers comfortable use during the warmer parts of the day or night. Electricity in Nicaragua—and especially on Ometepe—is among the most expensive in the region, so extra usage may result in an additional charge. We kindly ask guests to turn off the AC when leaving the house. Also, please keep in mind that since Ometepe is a rural island, occasional power outages can happen, particularly during the rainy season.
