The Barn at Coombe Farm Goodleigh

Easter and Summer bookings are weekly with a Friday check-in. The Barn has been converted in to a beautiful 2 bedroom property for 4 people. It is located in the grounds of Coombe Farm, with a private terrace, hot tub, ceramic barbecue, hammock, garden and access to a shared outdoor pool in summer (June to September). A foot path runs past The Barn, to the village of Goodleigh, where there is a pub. Both bedrooms have a private bathroom. Well behaved dogs are welcome. The space The Barn is situated in a peaceful valley and is a perfect place for those looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The Barn sleeps 4 people and has 2 bedrooms. The green room can be twin or super king and has an en-suite shower room. The red room has a king size bed and an en-suite shower room. Downstairs there is a kitchen with dining table, WC and sitting room with wood burner. The sitting room has french doors out onto a private south facing terrace and garden where you can sit and enjoy a barbeque and relax in your own private hot tub. The garden is a secure area for young children and dogs. The garden has views over surrounding fields. A public foot path runs through the field adjacent to The Barn, to the village of Goodleigh, where there is the New Inn Pub, which serves great food. In spring 2024 we planted mixed native hedging around the perimeter fence that will grow to provide a beautiful secluded area. There are some mature trees in the garden that can be used to suspend the hammock. Well behaved dogs are welcome however we do ask guests to ensure that dogs are not permitted on the furniture/beds and that they are kept on leads when around the livestock on the farm. Children are also welcome. The Farm has lots of corners to explore – woods, a stream, rope swings, an unheated outdoor swimming pool (June-September), trees to climb…and WiFi. The Barn is an old building, but during renovation it has been fitted with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. It is well insulated, triple glazed and has under floor heating and a wood burner.​ There is a small laundry with washing machine, drying and cleaning facilities. The kitchen is fully equipped (by a cook, for cooks) We use high thread count pure cotton bedding and down duvets. In the plant room in The Barn guests can securely store bikes, surf boards, or other equipment used during their stay. ​In addition to all the private comforts of The Barn, you are also free to roam Coombe Farm. Swim in the pool, enjoy the gardens, sit by the stream, or play on the lawns. In consideration of other guests, we ask that evening noise is kept to a minimum.
