Welcome to the Matte. This early 20th Century home was owned by the Matte family and is a quintessential part of Vankleek Hill History. This historic building will submerge you in all the elegance of the Victorian Era. It has been entirely renovated and is furnished with luxurious antiques to ensure a unique and memorable stay in the Gingerbread Capital of Ontario. 2 bedrooms w/Queens + 1 w/King +twin Over 1200sqft (with kitchen ,2 full baths, terrace, parking,)was entirely renovated 2024 The space 3 bedrooms: large 16' x15' King plus twin daybed 2 Cozy Queen room are on the second floor of the apartment. A sitting area is located on the second floor landing as well as a full shower/tub washroom A sitting area alongside a second washroom with stand alone shower and a beautiful kitchen /dinning greet you on the first floor. Guest access A key code will be provided to you the morning of your arrival . You may access the entire apartment EXCEPT the basement trap located in front of the refrigerator and the locked housekeeping closet upstairs. Other things to note Tucked right in the heart of the village, we're just next door to the Windsor Tavern – so on certain Fridays and Saturdays, you might enjoy a bit of extra local energy and animation (we think it adds to the charm!). For those staying a little longer, we've got you covered. Our dedicated innkeeper, Grace, will freshen things up midweek with a refresh of towels, bathroom cleaning, and floor care. If you're here for a week or more, we'll also change your linens. And for added convenience, we offer personal laundry service for a minimal fee – just let us know if you'd like that arranged!
