Simple, charming, Post World War II, this indoor/outdoor (family & pet friendly) entire home was built in 1937 as the caretakers home for a tree nursery. While the rest of the city developed, the quiet retro-charm of this house and the giant fenced in backyard has remained largely intact. Situated in El Portal "The Door" to Miami, in what Miami New Times calls the "Best Hidden Neighborhood." The yard is a tropical oasis with lots of outdoor amenities. The space Simple, basic with mid century shabby chic decor, much of the home maintains it's original 1937 character with appliance/furniture upgrades. There is a king sized memory bed in the bedroom and a queen sized (murphy bed) in the garden room. If you are traveling with children, an additional children's room with either a king or two double mattresses are made available. The living room is open and spacious and could accommodate an additional air mattress. There is a lush outdoor tropical garden (4,000 sqft+) with several fruit trees, an outdoor patio, including a dining table, outdoor living room set/TV, hammock, an outdoor sink and hot/cold shower, and a ninja warrior course, and a 16' trampoline for kids. The backyard is completely fenced in and ideal for those traveling with furry friends. On the property there is a charcoal grill, a kayak, stand up paddle board, and bikes for your use. Other things to note The $50 cleaning fee is refundable if the place is left exactly as it was found.
