Our contemporary, all-equipped modern home is the perfect getaway for those seeking comfort, privacy and quiet. Take a relaxing dip in the soaker tub after a hike, gaze at the starry skies while roasting the perfect marshmallow, or cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace inside the house during colder months. When you’re ready, head offsite to explore the many year-round activities and attractions nearby like Arrowhead/Algonquin Parks (1 park pass included) or fine dining in downtown Huntsville. The space Cliffside Retreat is your vacation destination that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Muskoka landscape and a peaceful, secluded setting away from all the crowds. Our house is a new build and has been outfitted with smart features, modern comfort, artistic flair and luxurious touches. The main floor consists of a full bathroom and one guest room with a queen bed. Your stay includes all towels, linens, pillows and extra blankets, as well as bathroom essentials such as shampoo, conditioner and soap. Our family spends a lot of time in the kitchen, so you will be sure to find it outfitted with the latest appliances and fully stocked with all the staples, such as tea, coffee, oil and spices, as well as pots, pans and gadgets for that perfect pancake breakfast and home cooked dinners. When the cooking is done, enjoy the delicious meal at our live edge table. The great room offers lots of comfy seating, vaulted ceilings and views of the beautiful outdoors. Cozy up with a book or puzzle near the wood burning fireplace, or enjoy a game of cards or scrabble with your group of friends. On the second floor you will find three more guest rooms, (which will be locked during your stay). The upstairs bathroom boasts a luxury soaker tub, with additional extras to make for a relaxing dip after a day full of adventures. The basement is the owner's private storage space and is off limits to guests. The owner's do not reside in the basement or on the property. Venture out to the deck for a BBQ or explore the backyard, where you will find a fire pit and Muskoka chairs available for your use. Guest access As a guest you have access to the whole house, however the 3 upstairs guestrooms and basement are off limits to guests. You can roam the property outside and explore the marked but unmaintained trail to the creek and to the top of the cliff for a scenic lookout. You can park your car right in front of the house and around the roundabout driveway. Other things to note F.A.Q.: Q: Will you be available to answer questions during my stay? A: We are always a phone call, text or email away. We want to make sure you have the best stay so please do not hesitate to contact us. Q: Do I have access to the entire home? A: You have access to the entire main floor and second floor full bathroom. The 3 second floor guest rooms will be locked during your stay. The basement is the owners private space and is off limits to guests. The owner's do not reside in the basement or on the property. Q: Can I invite friends or family? A: The home is reserved only for the guests you selected in your booking and listed in your introduction note. There is a maximum of 2 persons allowed to be listed at all times. No other visitors are allowed. Q: Can I visit nearby Provincial Parks for free? A: Your stay includes one Provincial Parks pass. The pass allows one vehicle to enter any park for free. Q: Should I bring my own bedding? A: No. The cottage is fully equipped with bedding, linens, extra pillows, blankets and towels. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Q: Are there bugs? A: Yes. We share our great outdoors with black flies and mosquitos. The buggiest months are also the ones that have the best chance of viewing moose and other wild animals in the Muskoka region. Bug spray and bug hats are available for your use. Q: Are there any additional fees to my nightly rate? A: Yes. Additional fees include a cleaning service fee of $200 per stay. Q: Are pets allowed? A: Unfortunately pets are not allowed at our home. You can leave your furry pals at the Huntsville Highlands Pet Resort or Happy Tails Pet Resort for their own luxury getaway.
