Serenity – for nature lovers

Peaceful and serene oasis in an enchanting setting. Breathtaking views of forests and mountains and a small lake rich in biodiversity directly overlooking the Black River. The cottage is ideal for relaxing vacations for families or groups of friends. La Sérénité offers all the comforts necessary for a memorable stay. Several activities nearby: kayaking on the river, hiking in the forest, regional parks, beaches, outfitters (fishing), golf, slides, skiing, and more. The space The cottage contains 2 bedrooms and 3 beds with comfortable mattresses: A large bedroom with a king bed, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a third queen bed in the basement. Bedding is provided with extra pillows, linens and duvets. There is also a single mattress in the basement closet if needed. We love to cook, so the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare all types of meals. In addition, you will have access to several spices, oils and other condiments. Convection oven, microwave, blender, etc. All you need is a dishwasher, but hey, we're at the cottage! The bathroom has been refurbished, with walls covered in natural pine. Large vanity, walk-in shower, and modern toilet. There is no bathtub: we preferred to have a large shower for more comfort. There are several towels and toiletries. The living room is certainly our favorite room in the cottage with its wood-burning fireplace and especially its bay window that allows for panoramic views of the vast grounds, forest, mountains and water. The sun shines all day from sunrise to sunset. It's the perfect space to gather, relax with a drink in hand, read a book, or just lounge around, doing nothing. The basement has also been completely renovated, with natural pine slats all over the walls, making it very warm, and surprisingly bright thanks to its ceiling of over 9 feet. The family room is very cozy, you can find time for a board game (among the dozens of games provided), with the gentle crackling of the cottage's second wood-burning fireplace. While sitting on the sofa, through the patio door that opens to the outside, you will see the water and the geese wandering around the grounds with their young. You'll also enjoy HD TV (43") with the Roku system and a soundbar to watch your favorite romantic comedy. You can easily connect your own Netflix, Prime Video, Disney, Apple, Crave, Paramount, etc. accounts. There is also a small TV in each of the bedrooms. Several books, comics and magazines are also available on the ground floor and in the basement. The second half-bathroom (sink and toilet) is also located in the basement, with the washing machine and dryer. There is also the third queen size bed. Outside: A BBQ is available in the rear gallery as well as a table with 6 chairs. The terrace leads you to our second favorite place in the cottage: the suspended gazebo. You can enjoy an aperitif while admiring the spectacular view in peace and shelter thanks to the screen windows. There is also a hammock to relax or take a nap to the songs of birds. The fireplace is right there for your marshmallow, guitar, and dad joke evenings. There are several Adirondack chairs (for children too) for your comfort, and some tree trunks to sit on for the more adventurous. 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards are available in the garage. You can discover the charming Rivière Noire directly from the chalet. Guest access On the property, you have a house and a garage. You have access to the whole house and surrounding grounds, but access to the garage is restricted. However, you can enter it to retrieve the boats made available to you to explore the beautiful Black River. Other things to note You can explore the lakes and the Black River interconnected to our lake directly from the chalet through the boats available to you in the garage. It's a unique experience!
