Fully Renovated Rural Barn

Newly renovated barn on a quiet rural road yet close to all the attractions of Southern Litchfield County. The light-filled barn has two large patio doors into a substantial living and entertaining area with a large sectional sofa-bed, a dining table for 10 and adjacent kitchen area with an island. There is a downstairs washroom. A large light-filled upstairs sleeping area has a king-size bed and a bathroom with shower. Outside is a patio dining area and parking in a dedicated driveway. The space The barn shares a landscaped 3.5 acre plot with the host’s residence. There are separate access driveways, and a row of privacy trees provides separation between the two properties. Barn guests have their own dedicated patio lounging, grilling and outdoor dining area and are welcome to make use of the wider grassy area shared with the host’s property. The property is within 10-15 mins of the many attractions of Litchfield county: restaurants, hiking trails, antiquing, breweries, distilleries and more! Our guidebook lists our favorites. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the 1600 sq ft barn, a dedicated driveway and parking area, their own outdoor patio area for lounging, grilling and dining and enjoy shared access to the wider 3.5 acre yard. Other things to note Easy Access To/From NYC: Our barn is nicely located for weekend breaks and get-a-ways from the New York City with a relatively short travel time. The journey by car from Manhattan takes approximately 1hr30mins - 1hr45mins with no traffic delays . While there are sometimes delays getting past the GW Bridge, and at the turn off from the 684 to the 84, traffic is generally not an issue. The nearest train route is the Metro-North to Brewster. It takes approximately 45mins to drive to the barn from there. All-Season Activities: Litchfield County has many activities to enjoy in all the seasons. For example:: - Spring - Hiking, antiques. - Summer - Fairs, events, and festivals - Fall - the spectacular foliage - Winter - skiing, snowshoeing. Sunrises and Sunsets: We are located on a ridge at around 750’ above sea-level. The barn benefits from beautiful sunsets through the large west-facing patio door.
