The space A Peaceful Retreat on a Working Horse Farm Tucked off a quiet country road and flanked by rolling farmland, our modern ranch-style home is designed for comfort and relaxation. This cherished family homestead has been lovingly restored, blending warm memories with thoughtful updates to create a cozy and inviting space. We hope you love it as much as we do! Inside, we’ve made comfort a priority—plush carpeting in the bedrooms, reclining couches, a large flat-screen TV, and flexible dining options, including a bistro-style breakfast nook and a full dining room. Each bedroom offers ample storage, and the well-stocked kitchen has everything you need to whip up a meal or enjoy a quiet cup of tea. Fire up the grill on the covered back porch and put your burger-flipping skills to the test! Step Inside & Make Yourself at Home Enter through the backdoor into our western-inspired mudroom, where you can hang your coat on a horseshoe hook and store your boots in ample cubbies. A small welcome treat will be waiting to make your stay even sweeter! From the mudroom, step into the large, inviting kitchen—fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a hearty dinner or a cozy breakfast. The bistro-style breakfast nook overlooks the backyard, making it the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee (on us!). Through the breezeway, you’ll find the dining room, complete with seating for six and an electric fireplace to add warmth and ambiance. Nearby, the sun-drenched living room features large windows overlooking the front yard. The plush leather recliner couches are made for relaxing—whether it’s family movie night or an afternoon nap. Down the hall, a full bathroom with a tub and shower combination ensures convenience for all guests. The Bedrooms 🛏️ Twin Bedroom Perfect for kids or friends, this cozy room features two twin beds and a large dresser for ample storage. 🛏️ Guest Bedroom This bright and airy guest room offers views of the front and side yard, a soft full-size bed, a dresser with mirror, and a spacious closet. 🛏️ Primary Bedroom The primary suite features a plush queen bed, an en suite bathroom, and two large closets along with a dresser and mirror—perfect for settling in comfortably. Step outside onto the covered back deck and patio to take in the peaceful country scenery. The surrounding roads are perfect for strolling, and if you're feeling adventurous, horseback riding lessons are available right at our working horse farm. Plus, with hiking trails, Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Center and Bethel Woods Center for the Arts concert venue and museum just minutes away, adventure is always within reach. Guest access In the back of the house, there is a back door that opens directly into a mud room with plenty of storage for your shoes and coats! Other things to note Our home sits on an active horse farm. As such, the guest access is limited to the property that the house sits on which is clearly bordered by plants. Fencing on the farm may be electric - steer clear!
