Nearby attractions are a lighthouse, natural hot spring "onsen" in the sea, active volcano, surf beach, and park golf course. Supermarkets, convenience stores and few eateries are 20-minute drive away. Whether you're seeking adventure or just a peaceful escape, Esan no Yado is your perfect destination. First floor - a Japanese-style tatami room with 3 futons - a Western-style room with a queen size bed, closet and a work desk The Loft - 3 futons The loft is very spacious, so if you need more space in the tatami room, you can or request us in advance to bring one futon from the tatami room to the loft. Living + Dining Room - low table ( kotatsu ) for 8 - 6 Japanese floor cushions ( zabutons ), 2 foldable low cushion chairs - one 3-seater minimalist sofa chair - 1 smart TV ( local channels, Youtube and Netflix ) - no air conditioner (common in Hokkaido) - mini fan ( during Summer ) Kitchen - IH cooking stove - 2-in-1 microwave oven * microwave size oven * - toaster oven - rice cooker - electric kettle - electric coffee maker - electric coffee grinder ( coffee beans not provided ) - fridge - cooking utensils - tableware - basic seasonings ( salt, pepper, vegetable oil, olive oil, soy sauce, mirin, Japanese cooking wine, brown sugar) *If you plan to cook, it is recommended to get some ingredients before your arrival. Please note: You are NOT ALLOWED to enter our backyard warehouse, which contains dangerous power and gardening tools. We will not be held responsible for any injuries caused. For your safety, please DO NOT walk barefoot outside the house. Please DO NOT enter the neighbors' property. Thank you Other things to note HOUSE RULES: 1. NO SHOES inside the house. This is a Japanese-style home, so please remove your shoes at the entrance ("genkan"). Thank you. 2. NO SMOKING both inside and outside the house. Due to the natural environment and occasional strong winds, cigarette butts could cause fires. 3. NO LOUD NOISE after 9 PM. Please respect our neighbors and the quiet environment. 4. TRASH Japan has a complex trash handling system. Please help us by separating your trash into the designated bins. Thank you. ALERTS: 1. Due to the lush natural environment surrounding our property, you may encounter bugs and insects inside, and animals (deer, birds, etc) outside the house. You may either enjoy or dislike these encounters, so please consider this before booking. 2. There is only one shared toilet and one shared bathroom in the house. However, you can enjoy a soothing hot spring (onsen) experience at Cape Hotel, just an 8-minute stroll away. Last entry at 7:30 PM, 400 yen per person. 3.
