Come stay at this peaceful cabin located on the Laughing Whitefish River! It is a great spot to experience all that the beautiful Upper Peninsula has to offer. Cabin is located between Marquette and Munising, two beautiful destinations with much to see and do. The cabin is less than a mile away from designated ORV and snowmobile trails where you can access the trails within minutes. It is also within miles from local boat launches to access beautiful Lake Superior and enjoy all it has to offer. The space This cabin is located on the Laughing Whitefish River in lovely Deerton, Michigan. Deerton is located between Marquette and Munising (home of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore!), which is roughly a 20 minute drive from downtown Marquette and 25 minutes from Munising, 10 minutes from AuTrain. Grocery and convenience stores and gas stations can be found in each of these places. The cabin is ~900 square feet and includes a kitchen, large living area with dining room, laundry area with washer & dryer, downstairs bedroom with 1 bed, bathroom, and upstairs loft bedroom with two beds and separate bedroom with 1 bed. There is an enclosed screened in porch with view of river with additional dining area and places to sit or relax, picnic table outside and bonfire pit to enjoy a fire and roast some s’mores. The cabin is less than one mile from the local ORV & snowmobile trail, so no need to trailer any further than the cabin! There are several close boat launches in the area, allowing you to access Lake Superior and the Laughing Whitefish River mouth. Please note in late spring/early summer that mosquitos can be very pesky! Please prepare accordingly for that. Guest access Guests may use the cabin and outdoor area, but garage, woodshed and wood boiler are off limits.
