"We wished we had stayed more than one night, as there is so much to do and see in Cong!" This is the most common feedback we receive from guests who stay in the Chalet with us. Comfortable village cottage with 1 x Bedroom with King size Bed and 1 x small single bedroom. Cong Village Chalet is a ground floor cottage in the center of Cong located at the Cong Gallery FREE WiFi. Smart TV which is Netflix enabled for your own Netflix account. The space Small comfortable cottage with a cosy stove, kitchen and a TV with WiFi. One double bedroom on the ground floor, bathroom and shower also on the ground floor. The cottage has one single bedroom upstairs. All bedding is feather and down. STRICTLY MAXIMUM OF 3 PERSONS Guest access Cottage refuse bins are provided for guests Travel Cot and Highchair available on request, free of charge. An open communal yet secure yard space to store bicycles. The yard is shared with the Gallery and one another apartment. 10% discount in our Irish Craft and Art Gallery, The Cong Gallery This will be afforded to all our AirBnB guests. Other things to note The Cong Village Chalet is located at the Cong Gallery and Coffee on Abbey Street, in the historical part of Cong Village. The village Tourist Office is 5 doors away. The 6th Century Royal Abbey is opposite the cottage entrance. The famous 14th Century Monk's Fishing House, standing in the Cong river is 2 minutes from your door. The Cong Forest Loop walks start 2 minutes from your door and can lead you on in to Connemara. The Connemara National park is 1 hour drive The Cong river, world renowned for Salmon and Brown Trout Fishing is at the bottom of your street. Lough Corrib, Ireland's largest lake is 10 minutes away, with lake cruises and boat hire available. Ireland's School of Falconry is available for you to book at the Ashford Castle Estate, 10 minutes away. Horse Riding, zip wire, tree climb, archery, bike tours and Clay Pigeon Shooting is available for you to book at the Ashford Outdoors and Equestrian Centre. Dining out in Cong is easy, the village has 4 Restaurants and 2 Cafés. In addition you can also eat at the 4 restaurants on the Ashford Castle Estate and at The Lodge @ Ashford. The village has 4 pubs There is 1 x Art Galleries, 1 x Bookshop, 1 x Hairdresser. The Pharmacy is 4 doors away from your Chalet. The village supermarket is a 5 minute walk for the Chalet. Ashford Castle Estate and the Lodge @ Ashford hotels are less than a 3 minute drive from the Chalet Free on street parking for cars in Cong Village or parking available in both public car parks. Cong is a village to explore, experience and enjoy with a good pair of walking boots. Please be aware that Cong is primarily a Tourist Village so it is quiet with limited amenities between November and March We are a 35 minute drive from Galway City, 1 hour drive from Knock airport and 3 hour drive from Dublin.
