Discover your ultimate retreat at Lakebreeze Hideaway, a charming getaway within walking distance of Lake Erie. Enjoy the beautiful, ever changing view of the lake on one side and the wind rippling through the bullrushes on the other side. Feel the cool breeze on a hot, humid day. Listen to the sounds of bullfrogs and the many birds as you relax and sip on a cool drink. In the evening enjoy the warmth and coziness of a campfire. The space Our one bedroom apartment is situated on the lower level of our very new full-time home. All the rooms you will be using are above ground, as the house was built into a hill and you will be entering on the back side. You will be entering through a patio door that is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. The interior doors are also wide. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and has night tables with plugins for your devices. There is a pullout couch (typically for one adult)in the living area. Bedding for that is available upon request. A pack and play is also available upon request. Extra blankets and pillows are supplied. The dining area has a big table for eating, games, or work. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals. Although there is no stove, there is an air fryer and induction burner, plus a microwave. There is also a BBQ outside. Supplies for your first coffee or tea and some local eggs(if available) for your first breakfast will be waiting for you. We have high speed fibre internet throughout the apartment and a smart TV in the main room. Our backyard is a work in progress, so please watch your step. There is now a patio with table and chairs for you to use. There is also a BBQ and fire pit for your enjoyment. Please use the plastic cups when having a drink outside. We have a right-of-way to the beach that is just minutes away. To access the beach there is a fairly steep hill and a stairway, so it may be a challenge for some people. A map will be available to follow so you won't trespass on the neighbour's property. Beach towels will be provided. Bring water shoes since there are rocky areas in the water. Guest access When you arrive at your destination there will be a driveway that divides into upper and lower. You will be going down the lower, right side driveway, and entering at the back of the house. You will park in the “Private Parking” spot. Your entrance is the big patio door in the back. Details for unlocking will be sent to you closer to check in time. Other things to note As mentioned earlier, the backyard of the unit is a work in progress so be aware that the outside is functional but not yet beautiful. On the way in you will pass many stands selling firewood. We will not be providing firewood here. The beach is quiet and relaxing but the access is fairly steep. It is a private beach used by the local residents only, so leaving it as clean as possible is expected. You can watch the ships passing by and see the lighthouse at Mohawk Point. A heads up that while you stay here you will need to turn off roaming on your phone to prevent a hefty bill.
