Porotieva - Reindeer Retreat Lakeside

Private new beach cottage on a large plot, amphitheater-like location on the shores of the very clean Lake Livojärvi, on the Lapland Riviera. Two saunas (wood-heated and electric-heated) and a hot tub. You may see reindeer right in the yard of the cottage. During the summer season (May to August), we offer two SUP boards, a boat and fishing gear. During the winter season, we offer a few snowshoes, skis and poles for skiing, as well as fishing equipment for ice fishing. The property has a hill and stairs. The space Guests have access to a large house and a separate sauna building with a traditional Finnish sauna heated by wood. The sauna building also has a separate heated bedroom for two people (Bedroom 4). The hot tub is outdoors and its water is heated with firewood. An electric auxiliary heater is also in use. The guest uses the hot tub himself. The tub is a traditional Finnish tub, and it has no bubbles. The hot tub is also available in winter. Heating takes several hours depending on the outside temperature. Guest access The cottage can also be reached by car in winter. The road is plowed. The guest has access to all other spaces except the storage spaces (garage, storage). Guests have access to a large three-hectare plot. A small fireplace inside the house is available for guests. Likewise, the outdoor campfire place is also available to guests. The use of a wood-fired masonry oven requires special skills. A separate permit must be requested for its use. Other things to note We charge a fee of €24 per person per booking for the use of rental linen. We encourage our guests to bring their own linens and towels if possible. Guests have access to an electric car charging station (Schuko and CEE 16A 11kw outlet). Bring your own charger and charging cable. The house only provides a socket to which the charger can be connected. The price of charging an electric car is 30 euros per week and a hybrid car 10 euros per week. The beach is shallow and well suited for swimming, but not for diving from the jetty.
